    I had two Sony Blu-ray players at about the same price point as this LG. Both Sony's stopped working. In fact, a notice at Sony's website actually identifies the problem along with a possible fix. No Good. This LG is a far better product. Very easy to set up and use.

    It is an excellent compact device for playing blu ray and conventional DVDs. It will also stream, but not wirelessly. I have a wireless access point connected to it but more often than not use my Roku for streaming and this device for watching DVDs.

    It's an excellent player, but I'm not overly happy with the controls. It only has the Power and Eject button on the player, everything else is on the remote. When we misplaced the remote, we couldn't use it till we found it. I should at least be able to play a disk without the remote. Haven't used any of the online features. Otherwise I'm happy with it.
