There are times when they do not recognize a disk and I need to turn it off and on. There are other times I have to unplug it because it refuses to turn off via the remote or button. These problems occur often enough to be annoying, but it is a pretty low cost player. If you watch a lot of movies, go with a different brand/model. If you only watch a few and want to low cost player, the annoyances are probably okay.
