It's convenient
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This item is ok. It's something new to get used to. I'm not sure it's worth the investment for me.

||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The bluetooth range was so bad I had to return this with-in a day, if you turn ur head to the side with the phone in ur pocket it dropped the connection, if was fantastic until that but who needs it with problems like that, bought Beats by Dres wireless2 instead.

Not Bad
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.TX enacted a law that you must have a hands free device to use a phone while driving. I have a lot of music on my phone. So, I wanted a stereo headset. First I bought one at Walmart for about $30. Didn't like the sound quality. I bought an Lg HBS-730. It was better, but still not very good. I am a little picky about my music. So, I bought the LG HBS-800 because it has the JBL sound. It was not drastically better, but it was noticeably better. The sound is more full. You have to push the earbuds tightly into your ears to get good bass. But, they are definitely the best of the 3 I tried. For talking on the phone, they were all about the same.

Poor quality
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Did not have the range like it said on the box. This day and age you should be able to connect to 2 phones at the same time. If there where negative stars that's where I would have gone to -5 or lower

Would not hold a charge
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I usually have great success with this brand but this one was a dud. Would not hold a charge and was only able to use it once. Returned product approximately one week after purchase.

Surprising Bass Response; Really Clomfortable
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Okay I JUST purchased these today (4/29/16) so this is NOT a long-term review. I paid only $44.99 for these. One of the original criticisms of this product was the $99 price tag (2014). Obviously, that is not a factor this time around. Even with the $9 Best Buy coverage which I also purchased (no brainer). SOUND Let’s talk about this first. I have the headphones paired to my new Asus Q552 2-in-1 laptop. The laptop uses Bang & Olufsen ICEpower® audio technology. I have some fully digital recordings ripped as FLAC files to the hard drive so I can play them back at a higher bitrate. All that is so you understand the source of the music I am using to test the Tone Ultras. If you want a really good piece of music to use as a test track, find Sacred Heart by Patrick O’Hearn. Again, best if you can play it back without compression before it is transmitted using the Bluetooth connection. That way any degradation in audio quality you can squarely blame on the Bluetooth connection and the LG Tone’s audio hardware. I have the headphone volume at 98% and Sacred Heart sounds amazing. The cymbals and light percussion are crisp and clear. The deep bass and kettle drums vibrate (no echo) in my skull (and that is a good thing) with no vibration in the earbuds themselves or audio distortion. I’m not sure I understand the criticisms of the volume (or lack of) on the LG Tone. These are loud without being painful. I just tried tapping on my wooden table loudly and could not hear it. Noise cancelling; check. COMFORT If not for the music actually playing in my ears, I would almost forget I am wearing the Ultra. The collar should be getting annoying (I’ve had it on for over an hour) but it’s not. I have small ears. Most in ear buds and cheap over the ear headphones cause me discomfort after only about 20-30 minutes causing me to constantly readjust if wearing them at length. I wear glasses too which adds to the complication. The default silicone tips on the Tone Ultra are a perfect fit for me. No pressure on my outer canal, yet I can turn my head side to side (looking directly over either shoulder) with no feeling they are about to fall out or get yanked out. Granted I am not bouncing up and down with any kind of force like would occur if running (I’m a cyclist not a runner) so I can’t attest to how these would hold up during exercise. CONTROLS I had to fumble just a little bit to adjust the volume using the collar (opposed to the source device) but it was not so difficult as to be annoying. There are other buttons on the Ultra’s collar but to be honest I haven’t even bothered with them. I opened the box, charged them up and paired them to my LG G3 instantly (and just as instantly to my laptop). Pairing my two phones to this laptop (Windows 10) was a royal pain in the hiney. Was pleasantly surprised at how effortless it was to pair the Tone Ultras. RANGE I’m going to guess these use Class 2 Bluetooth. Class 2 has a range of 33 feet. I lose my signal from the laptop at between 15 and 18 average steps (approximately 37 feet). Class 1 has a range of 328 feet. If you are looking to leave behind your paired device, you might want to shop for a Class 1 headset. That being said, I can easily move around the room I am in and into the next two rooms without issue. My goal was to remove the cord running from my work PC to my head as well as the cord running out of my pocket and constantly getting snagged by my hands and arms as I tried to work around the yard. Problem solved. BATTERY LIFE As I’ve only been using them for about an hour and a half, I will say this: The battery will get you an hour and a half of playback. :) Seriously, though that is enough for most activities that I will use them for. I would imagine they will last longer than that. One nice move on LG’s part: the charge port is a standard microUSB. That means all my phone and tablet charges will work in it (I use Android devices not Apple). I used my Anker QC 2.0 adapter to charge them out of the box and it took no time. This is not to say these have Qualcomm’s QC built in though but quick charges tend to optimize charging time on any device and that seems to be the case here. So that is my out of the box impression. The real test will be longevity. I’m a bit of an audio snob and prefer pricer, wired over the ear headphones (those tend to feel better on my little ears too). I typically spend no more than $20.00 on my portable styled headphones. So as affordable as $44.99 is, it is still a bit of a splurge for me on earbuds. I can always bring them back and exchange them courtesy of Best Buys coverage but I bought the Ultras to use not return. If I am allowed to do so, I will update this review in a few months.

Very nice hands-free device
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this headset for my wife. She really enjoys them and they seem to work flawlessly. The ergonomics are such that she doesn't even realize that she is wearing them. The Bluetooth took a little while to pair with her Note but has worked great since. Sound quality has been very good on calls made from her using the device.

Great product, great sound!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I got these as a Christmas gift for my wife. They were shipped fast and delivered as promised. I was surprised at how light weight the product felt. The sound is great and the blue tooth connected right away to my Galaxy s6. I love the voice announcements and the fact I can take a hands free calls.

Great for loud music with a lot of bass!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. For me, my headphones are essential... I hate having to hold my phone when I'm on a call & I'm always listening to music on my phone. Before buying these, I was using a pair of SkullCandy corded headphones & I loved them because of its sound quality. I listen to a lot of trance, electro, & rap... songs with a lot of bass. Normally these headphones are $99, but when I saw that they were on clearance for $49, I had to buy them! Headphones pair easily with your phone right out of the box. Sound quality is top notch. When I get a call, the neck band vibrates & the ringtone also plays in each ear piece. I have an iPhone & the only thing I don't like is that I can press & hold a button to trigger Siri. Other than that, I really like these headphones!
