My husband bought laptop and didn't realize there was no drive! Checked out external drives online, then went to store. Salesman was extremely helpful in showing us what we needed. Highly recommend the Best Buy on Veterans Hwy close to Lakeside Shopping Center!

Perfect size and weight to throw in my computer case if I need to. Have only used it once but set-up and use were extremely easy. Just what I needed to get the job done.

I used this to rip CDs onto my laptop, was easy to set up & worked flawlessly. I ripped 6,000 so far with no issues to speak of. This was a great value for the money.

Had the previous version which crapped out once I updated from Windows 7 to Windows 10. This version works very well with Windows 10, true plug and play capability.

As you all are aware the new laptops do not have DVD/CD-ROM players built in them anymore. This DVD/CD-ROM portable writer is definitely a must have for all of you who love to watch DVDs on your laptops as wewell as being able to burn a CD with music, pictures and the like.

I was concerned because the DVD was not in the computer. I only used it during set-up of my programs. I haven't used it since. If you use a DVD a lot, it would be more convenient to have a heavier unit.

Bought this external USB drive on sale and with an extra $5 off with computer purchase. Works great and supports multiple PCs and Macs in the household.

I needed an external read/write drive for my Macbook Air, but I didn't want to drop another $80 on the Apple version. This LG drive does the trick nicely. I haven't tried it out with movies yet, but it handled the installation of my Adobe Photoshop like a champ.

I went to purchase a DVD player/cd writer and I pivked up a product... a ckerk cane over to me and asked me exactly what I wanted... he directed me to a product that was exactly what I needed at an even better price than what I expected to pay.

My husband and I bought this extra to download movies and make cd's for his brother, that in an assisted living center! ! We can find and buy older movies and music to put on DVD'S for him to enjoy! !

Awesome DVD external drive. Low noise, fast, and gluten free. My internal DVD player stopped working or it would flake out if it did work. So happy

already had one, needed one for another family member and it works great. Would recommend to anyone who wants to have slim Mac with the added weight of a cd drive.

My husband loved this external drive to be able to store movies on while he was over seas and then when he came back home. I bought it as a gift for him before he left. Has a lot of storage space and was on sale when I bought it which made it even better!

use this drive for putting old computer to work download a dvd on to old computer, works great also use it on my lap top no problems work good and nice and thin.

I bought this on a whim when I decided to install an old PC game onto my Ultrabook. Got the job done but is extremely noisy and the speed is subpar.

First time you plug it in you have to run and install a few things which take a little while, but after that you can just plug in and it's ready to go. Laptops with cd roms are alot nicer and takes up less space but if you get one without one this is the best thing to get.

Now that my mac book pro is no longer coming with a built in cd reader I had to purchase one. After talking with the sales person I decided on this one and am very pleased with it. Thank you Rich

It's a good add on to my laptop can do almost everything, make copies of cds or DVD and it fast. Not bad especially the price it was the Best Buy.

I love the plug and play ease of this disc drive. It is light so if I have to take it with me I know I'm not carrying an extra 5 lb piece.of equipment with me.

With new laptops today you don't get a DVD player. This one is very small not much bigger than a CD case. Very good to travel with. Works great when you need it.
