I ordered a laptop and didn't realize until it arrived that it did not have a CD or DVD drive. This was a cheap, sleek, and fast option.

You can take this portable product with you alone with your CD or your DVD and access any computer independently to safely exchange info as you please. you don't need to bring anything else with you. you may even put it in your packet.

Wasn't able to try this out. Husband bout it to watch movies on his drive less laptop. It's a brand new laptop with the latest version of Windows ( I think Windows 8). Well the drive is not 8 compatible. Apparently there are no drives that are :(

I bought his drive as an accesory for the Yoga Tablet, and is very nice, slim, and good looking, does the job, and is very light, recomended...

I've only used it twice so far. It works fine, but the button is difficult to push because it is so small. You need an accessory to eject the tray. Easy to set up & use.

I received as a Christmas gift and THEN started looking at reviews here and got scared when I saw the drive won't open after awhile. So far I am ok..but I've only had the thing a month. So hopefully my luck will remain.

It's a bit loud during use and feels very cheap/plastic. However, who cares? I liked the price! It's a simple device that does what its supposed to do...read and write my DVDs.

This universal DVD is a great solution for PC users and MAC users. I haveit a few months ago, works perfect; good purchase and a convenient price.

Needed to have a portable DVD to plug into my tablet, this fit the bill perfectly, was easy to set up, and didn't cost much at all.

Was looking for a compact external drive and this fit the bill perfectly. Slightly noisy at the start of reading but operates smoothly afterwards.

After looking at newer pc's I decided I would need a drive to accompany my new item. Choose the lg drive since of the wide variety of compatible items I own already working with it. I have not had a issue and has worked flawlessly.

I purchased this because I can't find my other writer and I needed to make a rescue disc for my system. Worked as expected. Nothing fancy. very lightweight, almost a little on the flimsy side, but can't beat the price.

As a non computer geek, I had a little trouble understanding how to install the cd/DVD drive on my computer. The technician at Best Buy's Geek Squad was very helpful. He installed it and explained how to get it running for my needs.

I purchased this to go along with my HP Spectre x360. So far this has worked as it should and I have no complaints. The setup was simple and it runs great. Good little drive to use when you are on the go and still use DVD/CD-ROM's.

I had few issues with this device when connected to my HP Spectre x 360 on Windows 10. Possibly a configuration issue. But it didnt work out of the box, I have to play around and fix few driver issues to make it work.

My wife and I needed something to be able to view all of the pictures and videos that we have on a number of CD's & DVDs on our laptops. It works great for transferring pictures and videos from our laptops to DVD's

Having converted to a MacBook Pro from an old notebook with a disk drive, I had accumulated a large number of saved archived materials on CDs and DVDs. I continue to need to access these files and this product addresses my needs.

The quality of the is cheap(made out of plastic), but its gets the job. You also need to download software before you are able to use it which is kind of a drag.

I had to buy the external drive so I could load my game. It was easy to use and it is really small. It works well and doesn't get in the way.

I received points from buying my laptop that didnt have a cd/dvd drive and used them to help pay for this. Price came out for under 20 bucks.ITs good to have a least one of these if you still deal a lot with cd/vdv storage and vendor disks
