I use this device to transfer large amounts of DVD data to a portable hard drive, and the transfer time is superb! Much better than what I had before, an internal computer device.

Most computers do not come with an optical drive anymore-but my daughter is bringing her dvd collection to college with her. This "plug and play" accessory works great-saves me from buying a TV !

Works great great addition to my two in one laptop that didn't have a CD DVD reader writer burner and it allows me to do what I need to do but not carried around when I don't need it

My Lenovo lap top works great. The Geek squad did a great job of setting it up & transferring the data from my old computer for me. This is my third Lenovo laptop and all of them have worked well.

Does what its supposed to. I have backed up my system several times and used it to restore when I purchased a new computer. Works well so far.

Needed an external drive for some of my equipment that does not accept CD's & DVD's. This unit is small and compact enough to take with me to clients' locations. Very useful and dependable.

Works as expected. Very light and easy to carry. Has rubber feet to keep it from slipping. No issues.

No issues in installing it, lightweight if you care about such a thing, and fast enough for my needs.

This device worked well for adding apps to my new computer, but did not read a DVD. I am still working on how to make that work.

We tried two external drives with the multiple PCs in our office and none of them would work consistently on all of the different PCs - until we bought this one. Great product at a great value.

Needed a quick solution reinstall software on a laptop without a CD/DVD drive. Excellent choice and is a burner that came with robust software.

My laptop does not have a CD/DVD drive installed so I purchased this one to load software and burn CD's. My laptop recognized it immediately upon plugging it in and it has worked flawlessly for the intended purpose. I have not tried to watch a DVD with it so I can't say how it will work for that.

Since most computers do not come equipped with a disc drawer this product is useful in playing or ripping music onto your computer. It also will play movies.

It works and is light. Great for travel. It is great for all the computers that do not have a drive.

It is good to have this with the new computers that don't have a CD drive. It makes it possible to install older programs that one might have.
