Very basic and simple to use, works as stated. lightweight and make easy travel companion.

I needed an external DVD for a program that only had a disc for use. It worked great and I still use it for music and other things I want to download to computer.

I bought this for my Macbook Air. The instructions do not tell you that the disc included is for Windows and does not tell you how to install for Mac. I Googled it and found that with Mac it is plug and play. Works beautifully. Small, lightweight and easy to store when not in use. I gave it 4 starts only because of the time I wasted trying to get the disc to load and the poor instructions.

Works perfectly with my 2 in 1. Is compact enough I can take it with me anywhere.

Needed a floppy drive for my old laptop. The original one had problems. Select this model because of its price.

I bought this since my Macbook air doesn't have a cd drive and have used this with no issues yet. am able to use it for adding cds to my itunes or burning whatever I need to.

Works great. Not the fastest load time. Watching DVD takes a while as it loads the DVD so there are times is pauses. But other than that works just fine.

a friend helped me backup an ailing laptop with this and he did the research and picked this one. it did the job he was expecting it to do. no complaints here!

I purchased a new laptop that did not have a CD drive and needed to download the Windows software. This external drive will also allow me to play DVDs and burn CDs.

I am not sure WHAT I was thinking about when I purchased this read/write external hard drive but it works and I guess can use for watching dvds movies, perhaps.

Looked at several options in store when I purchased my laptop. Over all value compared to price this was the best option.

not bad but bought this for my new Toshiba Laptop that didn't have a drive. How ever that laptop took a dump with in 1 week so I took it back and got a asus i7 2n1

This unit is nice and thin, so it doesn't take up much room in your bag. Speed is suffient.

It was easy to set up and worked as advertised. I am pleased with the performance as well.

Works smoothly up till now. No noise no stucks. Let's see how long this lasts

This is the first time I bought a computer that did not have an internal DVD drive. This is a must have for me.

I got this as a cheap fix for a broken internal laptop optical drive. I mostly use it for watching dvds so can't speak to its burning abilities but it handles movies just fine.

Just had a business trip and took some movies with me to watch. And this was prefect for it because the weather was bad and had no cable TV. Thank you Best buy.

The hard drive has worked so far for me! I would recommend this for my friends and family that need hard drives for their laptops, computers, and other devices.

I am very happy with my new HP all in one desktop computer. I found it a relatively easy transition to windows 10, although still learning as I go along for some features.
