The software did not however work and wouldn't allow me to play videos. After talking with support, I had to install a free online program that made it work. Too much hassle for something that should be easy.

Works just the way I need!

Our district decided to get us new laptops w/o CD drives. I get that this the trend w/laptops now. The downside is that all of my textbook extras are on CD. The interactive material can't be put on a flashdrive. This has worked perfectly for me so far and it has gotten heavy use.

It comes with some trial software you can use to check it out. Its thin and lightweight. I got it on sale so that was a plus. So if you purchase a new PC that doesn't have an optical drive then this is a good buy.
