Great item can also change the look of your computer if purchasing in different colors.

Appears to work as designed. Don't know why there is a minimum number of characters required.

The DVD drive is small and easy to carry with my laptop. I have used it a total of 6 times and twice had to stop it and reposition the DVD to get it to read. It would start vibrating and would not read the DVD. Did get all the DVDs read and completed my work.

Great product. It was very easy to use. I would recommend this to everyone.

Most all laptops do not have cd slots. This adapter makes it possible to still have the option.

Slim and works well. Durable and lightweight. Fits inside laptop bag without bulk.

It does all the jobs well and without having to program anything. Just plug and play.

I wanted to have an extra external drive at home, so I don't have to remember to bring one home from work. It was easy to use and worked better (and quieter) than the computer name brand one I use at work. It even comes with some (media) software, but I haven't used it.

My laptop did not come with a DVD player, this really fits my needs. I can watch movies

2 stars because of my hassles... So, I'm somewhat old school in that I like to buy audio cds and rip them for my mp3 player and car. I started to use it for just that, and got 4-5 cds into it and it started to "act up". It could read fine, play an audio cd in audio mode fine, but when it wound up the RPMs for rip mode, it seemed like the read/write head had a hard time finding or keeping its spot on the cd (given all the clicking I heard). And eventually the rip process would fail. Unfortunately I didn't familiarize myself with Best Buy's return policy (this was after Christmas) and "there was nothing they could do" about an exchange! I had to deal with LG directly. After a number of emails exchanged, LG sent me a postage-paid return label for the free exchange. 2 - 3 weeks later I received the new drive, which has been working good since.

I had the LG- Ultra slim 8x for a month now and it works great and have not had any problems.

I believe it is pricey for the quality it delivers. Needs to lower the price'

This was the cheapest drive available. It works well, but is kind of slow.

This product made my laptop very useful as my ;laptop does not have DVD drive/player.
