    I purchased this in order to import some songs into iTunes on my Mac. The drive connected without any issues and the music imported perfectly. I don't use an optical drive often, but this has worked for me every time that I have needed it.

    This was recommended by the sales staff. Some of my old software had cd drives to install and they are no longer included in new laptops since most stuff is downloaded from the net today. It plugged in and was usable in a short period after software loaded.

    Too be honest, I'm not sure if I have even used this yet but it had good reviews. I got it to go with the Lenovo Ideapad I bought so I could watch DVD or copy to them. It is very light weight and looks like it is well made. I expect it to be a good product.
