    I bought this in order to have a DVD drive available for my Lenovo Yoga 700. This drive serves that purpose. I haven't tried burning a DVD, and am not likely to do so using the Yoga. Being able to read discs presently sufficient.

    The LG Ultra Slim external USB DVD+/-RW/CD-RW drive in black is a thin, inexpensive portable 8x drive that does what it's designed to. The speed was ok and so far it has read everything I have put in it, but the build quality feels cheap and flimsy. Treat it right and that shouldn't be a problem.
