    This disc reader has allowed me do normal use like playing movies, music, and create Windows repair discs when needed unlike my laptop disc drive, which failed to read a DVD which had my own personal pictures on it the week after i bought the laptop.

    Great lil' external dvd player. That's really all i use it for. The other options seem really useful if you know what your doing, I'm a bit of a dinosaur when it comes to electronics, but it does what i was looking for it to do.
