    It's a nice buy, simple to install and easy to use. The only issue I had was that with Windows 10 I could not burn via file explorer. Not a big deal since I work mostly with software that does the burning itself.

    So CD-ROM drives are a thing of the past, when I bought my new laptop it of course didn't have one. Buying this little device has allowed me to still utilize my CDs and other software. Lightweight and perfect for portable needs.

    My new computer had no cd drive and I still like to buy some video games on disc, if anything because it is often cheaper than digital downloads. Sturdy, one USB connection, and smooth data transfer rate and at a very nice price.

    Very handy and inexpensive way to add a DVD drive to your desktop or laptop. Since most modern laptops don't come with an optical drive anymore, this is an easy and reliable way to add a DVD drive whenever you have the need.

    I needed a drive for loading some old programs to a new laptop without a cd drive. It worked great for that, and then for viewing some files on some cd's I had. I haven't used it for movies or music, so I can't speak to that.
