    Needed primarily bc my new laptop came without an installed drive. This works perfectly! I haven't used it to archive or create media, but works in capacity as an external drive reading media and allowing access to laptop.

    We bought this to help load data into our new I Mac and had to return it as we could not get it to open properly to remove the disk. Had to use a pin to get it to open. Don't know if it was just a problem with this working with an I Mac or not, but price was good.

    Gets the job done, mainly for loading software I only have on disc. But it vibrates a great deal for being so small, and had trouble loading a pdf from one disc I have. Besides that one, it's been good.

    Faced with a broken CD-RW on my PC and not willing to leave PC for repairs I purchased this inexpensive unit and it worked like a charm. Just plugged the USB connector into the side port on the PC and I was in business.
