    No problems picking up media as the door is closed, with read and write cd-r faithfully. The unit goes into a search effort with multiple cycles that prevent auto eject. Maybe just this unit glitch. Manual open works and ejects a finalized disk.

    Inexpensive, but a perfect addition to my laptop. Just running of the USB power is very convenient. Though it doesn't seem durable, it has survived a few drops and bangs. All-in-all I consider this a good, solid product.

    I have not used any other external USB DVD/CD Drives and I know some are much more expensive, but for my needs and for the great price, I am extremely satisfied. I use it to copy my cds and put them on a flash drive.

    I bought this as a back-up to my more expensive external dvd burner and it has proven to be good value for it's price. I would definitely buy another one if ever there was a need be. It works perfectly.

    Not sure I like that they phase out DVD players. So I bought this one, easy to install and run. Still need one to install ,y old printer driver for my laser jet printer. The DVD played works fine. Thanks.
