This external drive more than met my expectations. It is very slim and fits perfectly into the situation I needed to put it in. Would highly recommend it, no issues whatsoever.

The external DVD drive was easy to use and makes a great complement to newer laptops with no internal drive. It came with software that was also easy to use for burning a DVD.

Since these types of drives no longer come standard in most computers I developed a need for an external drive. I use it mainly on a Microsoft Surface Pro 3 and it works great.

An external drive was needed as computers are 2 in 1. Allows user to watch video's, listen to music among multiple other uses. Recommended as it seems sturdy and user friendly.

Very handy drive for a small laptop that doesn't have it's own drive. I used it to install a program that I had a disc for and was unable to download the software online.

The LG - Ultra Slim 8x Max. DVD Write Speed External USB Dvd±rw/CD-RW Drive is the best. Works with or without a computer. If you travel a lot this is the right unit for you.

I should have bought this 3 years ago, when I purchased my Surface tablet. This was a good investment, especially for flight travel. Very easy to setup and go!

This is a nice light weight computer. I primarily use it as a desk top with a docking station but when I need to go there is one wire to disconnect and I'm out the door.

Had no clue how this worked but it was extremely easy. Needed something to retrieve important documents from a disc in a short period of time. This accomplished the need!

This is a great product small and compact after getting software works in a terrific way have only used play function anxious to try burning cd I give this product 5 stars

Didn't take into consideration the fact that I was going to have to put PowerPoint Presentations on DVD and play them so this was a great addition to my traveling office

I needed a standard external DVD drive to load software for an older scanner onto a new laptop. This was extremely easy to connect to the laptop, and to load the software.

I bought this model and it works perfectly with my MacBook and my miniMac just plug n' play self power by the usb connection.

This player is a very good addition to my new PC. I watch a lot of movies and needed a DVD player. This product provides quality performance at a very reasonable price.

Selected this unit on the recommendation of a Best Buy employee who said they use it for their own system. Was looking for an inexpensive unit to rip CDs on a Mac Book Air. It is all plastic but has held up fine so far. Have ripped about 100 CDs so far. If I was planning on using this unit extensively and carrying it with me on the road I would have selected a unit with a metal case at higher cost but at less than half the cost of the Apple drive this meets my needs.

this works really well the only reason it didn't get 5 stars is because i was using it with a usb hub and it stopped working so other than that it works great

Works well. Speed is good, no issues yet reading any discs. Wants to load a bunch of sw that you don't need, but nothing unusual about that (just say no).
