After we finally got the right software downloaded it works fine, the software it came with didn't work we had to find a different one to get it to work

I needed a DVD CD drive for a Dell all in one portable PC that did not have a drive to install programs. It works great, I Have not try to burn with it

This product does what was promised. It transfers from CD to laptop very quickly. It is lightweight and very portable which makes it easy to tag along with my laptop.

I was looking to add a CD-ROM drive to my apple laptop as I had a few CD-ROM s that I wanted to install. This product was an excellent choice. Compact and reliable

It works fine. But I pushed the eject button and when I put the new movie in it wouldn't stay closed. I'll just get another one because I did like it for what it was.

we needed this to be able to load previously purchased office suite. It worked great for that purpose. we have not tried using it for anything ealse yet.

This is about as simple as it gets and reads dvds and cds pretty fast, and plays them with ease. Great addition to any laptop that does not come with any DVD drive.

I got this with my new laptop because I wanted to be able to use a disc drive when necessary and the laptop didn't have one. This is very basic and will work, but doesn't play Blu Ray discs.

Works great, nice to have. However, I haven't found a need for it yet. Got a great deal on it, so I picked it up just in case. I predict I might only use it once or twice in a whole year.

I was scared this would be hard to use but I plugged it in and it installed itself. I was happy to find out after that I can use this as a DVD player with my tv.

I bought this for my son along with a 2 in 1 tablet and it works great to allow the use of a disk drive when needed now that most laptops do not have them built in.

needed a portable DVD player for a new laptop. Bought this because it was readily available. Have not written a CD or DVD yet, but so far it works well.

This external hard was so easy to start using, like plug and play. Need another hard drive, external, this is a pretty good one. Well worth the price

I gave this item 3 stars because I have to keep unplugging the USB cord and plugging it back in in order to eject the DVD once I am done watching the DVD. I guess you get what you pay for.

Recently purchased a dell computer and the cd rom stop working this lg external hard is really good and you could not beat the price will definitely purchase again.

Need an external drive because my iMac doesn't have one . I wanted to be able to load my CDs on to my computer so I could put them on my iPod . I recommend it !

This DVD writer works but i had to use different software. I'm running windows 10 and had to reset my entire computer after installing this software.

A bit flimsy, but plays movies nice after download because the software does not provide for watching dvd's. Have had no problem with it at all. Nice slim design.

CD player connected fine to my iMac. Great price. Only thing that could be better would be if it was quieter
