it is easy to operate and record hard to find songs and oldies. which is great for road trips and able listen to the music one likes.

This is a nice looking slim external optical drive. It performs well, but need to download software to read DVD movies.

This drive will work but only for playing music CDs and the like, unless you can provide additional power. The SP3 alone just doesn't push enough power to run this drive otherwise. I could not install the software that came with the drive until I found an old dual cable that I could use to power the drive with the USB port on the SP3 charger. This unit really needs to come with such a cable.
