When I discovered my new laptop didn't have a DVD slot, I had to get an external DVD player. This one works fairly well.

I purchased this drive because me laptop doesn't have an optical drive. Some users have complained the drive is noisy during use which was a concern, but my drive is very quiet. I've used the drive with both store bought movie dvds and dvds that I burned myself without any issues. This may sound crazy, but when I opened the box containing the drive, there were two spiders inside the box which fell onto my floor. I called LG to report the problem.

This was a little hard to get started. Not a great drive for the beginner. I had trouble getting started. Works well, had to have help installing it.

The lap top does everything that I ask it to. It replaces a much older/Slower Toshiba and it is well work the upgrade.

Very small DVD/CD burner.. I have to download the drivers which is not hard at all... Very satisfied!! Very easy to use...

Really good dvd drive, it works, it plays cds and dvd and attaches to most if not all laptops and was reasonably priced.

Keep the weight down; keep the cost down, not sure why, but today's tablets are not very feature laden. I can't speak for other operating systems but If you want to utilize a Windows based tablet, this is perfect for installing your programs. I confess that while I don't use this drive every day it has always worked when it was needed. Such a portable item at such a modest price!

I bought this for my wife because she was worried that her Mac did not have a DVD drive. Works great and she loves it.

This is the first time using an external optical drive. It works very efficiently and well for the price. I was hesitant to get an external usb drive instead of replacing the internal drive, but I found this drive works better than the one I had before it went out and it was even cheaper than the internal drives. Overall its a good product for both its price and quality.

This portable drive is lightweight, easy to use, and easy to move! I love that I can take it on the go anywhere I want!

Had trouble getting the drawer for the disc to open. After that it worked fine until I needed to take the disc out. Took several tries again.

This is a small and great portable DVD/CD player burner. So far no issues... very small but seems to be well built.
