    The device was purchased at the same time as the Surface Pro 3 with the intent of having a disc drive. Sadly, the device consumes too much power for the USB port making it not compatible with the Surface Pro 3.

    I was disappointed that most 2 - in - 1 laptops no longer offers a DVD. But when I thought about how often I actually used my DVD these days on my older laptop, I realized this really shouldn't be an issue. So I purchased the LG, loaded my programs and packed the product back up and stored next to my programs. Simple, easy and no issues.

    I'm glad that I was able to purchase a disk drive for a small amount of money because I don't use it often. This is a great brand that has products made to last. I only wish I didn't have to use an external drive, but my Stream laptop is why. The drive serves its purpose but every other computer I get from now on will have its own drive.
