It does what I need it too. It's not the fanciest one sold but i just needed to use the CDs that I already had. I'm not a tech person in the least but it does what i wanted ... i couldn't ask for anything more.

Does what it's supposed to

I purchased it to play dvd's and also to burn blank dvd's with my MacBook. Only complaint is how cheap it feels because it's so light and made out of plastic that doesn't feel the strongest. Overall, I'm pleased with this purchase!

It is inexpensive which is appealing, but seems a bit flimsy for the daily user. Perhaps a simple little sleeve to put it in during non use would be nice.

Good Product

I've used these for several years, and would recommend getting the cheap warranty, because depending on your amount of usage, like any drive, they do wear out.
