This is my 2nd one. Hoping it works better than last

Nothing to hooking up, it just doesn't open easily.

Good computer. Good, smooth function. Windows Edge is what's difficult. Nice battery power. I've only bought Dell computers. This HP is better than any dell I've owned. That says a lot. I'm not a gamer. Its used mostly for work and Microsoft applications. Does a great job.

Just needed basic operations, had too many functions

for some reason it will not do mirroring with Apple

While the price was great, the quality not so great.

I liked the cheaper price of the LG DVD/CD drive and tried it as a replacement for my Apple Superdrive DVD/CD drive. The results were not what I wanted, the sound was flat and sounded like monaural. I exchanged it for the Apple drive the next day.

Laptop fit all the needs for college student. Computer has quality graphics and lots of bells and whistles. cons for this product: laptop does not have a dvd/disc drive- required a separate purchase. keyboard did not have a separate numbers keypad

I had some DVDs to create and some software I wanted to install on a laptop that does not have a disc drive. As that seems to be the standard these days, this will probably come in handy more in the future.

I used this to hold me over for now until I feel like replacing my internal disk drive in my laptop. My only complaint with this one is you have to be super careful when trying to move it while a disk is in it as the case will rub on the disk and slow it down.

MY internal CD/DVD player stopped reading in my PC (It think it is the laser). All I had to do was plug this baby in the usb port and it works just as well as my internal drive did. It easily reads and installs programs as well as plays CDs and DVDs smoothly.

Simply put...the difference between this drive and the Apple Superdrive: The LG has a plastic case and the Apple had a metal one. Unless that is worth twice or more the price to you, buy the LG. Functionally, I can find no differences. (being use on a Mac Air)

Since most newer laptops don't have a DVD drive included these days it's nice to be able to solve the problem easily and cost effectively. This drive works greats has read older discs with some wear and written to several brands of blanks. Even cheapo ones.

I used it for a while and worked wonderful! But then I bought some more software to install and it would not want to read. Of course it passed the 14 day trial!!! >:{ Paid 27.24 for it to stop working after a month! Do not buy this!!

I recently purchased a new iMac and needed a USB hard drive. This was very simple to use and even simpler to set up. This was packaged very well & had easy to read instructions. I am very pleased with Best Buy, their reward program and all the products I buy.

My latest laptop did not have a DVD player so I needed to get one. This works good for what I need. I have trouble getting this thing going and using the software that came with it, but it's probably because all I can do is plug and play.

It's somewhat cheap in price and cheaply made, it shouldn't cost any more then $20. All manual operation for inserting disc and ejecting. I would not recommend it. I bought it because it was recommended by Best Buy sales clerk.

We wanted a very portable DVD player for our Apple computer. It was so much less expensive to buy the computer we have and get the external drive than buy a computer with a drive. One less thing to break on the computer and we hook it up when we need it.
