This item works.. but does not like all disks. I had trouble getting it to read several DVD-RW, but it did work on other DVD-rw. it is also flimsy, and if it tilts, ths also seems to mess with its ability to work.

This DVD/blue ray player has the best options I have ever seen. When I have bought blue ray players in the past, all I got was something that only played blue rays. Now, I have the option too play Netflix, Hulu, Amazon, and Vudu.

Wish the external DVD writer would have come with the Laptop I purchased. One more expense and something you have to carry with you. It works fine but wish it was part of my laptop. Just one more expense when purchasing a laptop.

I walked into my local Best Buy and said "I need a cheap DVD drive for my computer". This was the first thing the guy showed to me. And it works perfectly as far as I can tell. Read speeds are good but I haven't tested write speeds.

I have only used it once so I don't have enough experience at this time to say much about the performance but having a built in CD/DVD drive is preferable, obviously.

This product easily and efficiently allowed me to burn a CD. The software that comes with the device is a little tricky but I used Windows Media Player with no problem.

This isn't the fastest of dvd drives but it gets the done for me. It is compatible with usb 3 but the write speed is usb 2.0, just fyi. Needed it on occasion for my surface book pro. So far, it works pretty good.

Unit is as advertised Worked great for my older net book with atom processor and 2 gig ram. Does not come with any DVD software for movie playback. Other than that works well for adding some older software and backing up photos.

I only use this to watch movies with my computer. It works great and is the second one I have purchased. The first one broke when I picked up my laptop and forgot it was connected. They are fragile when dropped.

I've been looking for an inexpensive CD burner since I still like to buy CDs and my laptop doesn't have a disc drive. This burner does a good job and it quickly burns CDs.

Most computers now don't have a disk drive, but most of homeschool books are still in this mode. Had a little difficulty getting it up and running but with help from the Geek Squad up and running smoothly.

Doesn't support certain games with MAC, I kept it because it is compatible with my other laptop... Overall it is GOOD if you're just installing something but be aware the MAC does not support many games, softwares, etc.

This DVD/CD writer performed well and was good value for money. Used it to copy several musical CDs to my iTunes library. Had no problems with the process but the product felt like it was a little flimsy.

This external drive helped me to install software with a CD on my laptop. My laptop did not have a CD drive. This was a satisfactory solution to my problem. It was not exceptional, but adequate.

It works as advertised. It has USB connectivity and is portable. Not too bad for the price as I got it on sale. It is not the fastest reader/ writer but it does well in comparison due to the price paid.

Says its compatible with IMac which is suppose to help allow Windows being used. Yet it doesnt help in anyway even though the IMac doesnt have the required program but this drive was suppose to help with that.

My new laptop has no CD drive, which I forgot when I bought my tax software this year. This was less than the cost to buy the software online and works great! It will give me more options for software and backing up files.

We were going on road trip and the portable DVD player I had no longer worked. I have a Mac Air so no cd rom. This was the perfect and least expensive option. It worked great and kept kids entertained on long drive.

I have a number of LG products including big screen tv, over- the-stove microwave, cell phone, etc. I trust the quality and reasonable price of their products. I am glad that Best Buy carries so many of their products.

most laptops no longer include a disc feature and many of my programs include a disc. Therefore I need this item to make my existing programs workable.
