This item is supposed to work with Windows 10 to play DVDs. However even after downloading an app media player program it still will not play any DVDs. Without media player in Windows 10 this product doesn't work.

So glad I purchased this product. Very easy to use.

I ended up returning this item because the picture quality was pretty poor. :/

we had to return to the store for a salesperson to tell us to upload an app.

I'm burned so many cds and 4 came out good without no scratch or pauses

Purchased to use with an iMac, and it does not work. Connected directly to the computer and not a hub (does not work on a hub either). Packaging indicates that it works with OS X. Where does it work? on my MacBook, which already has a drive built in. So it is useless. I will be returning.

I was tools it would be just plug and use. Not so much.

Some discs play just fine but others won't load at all.

Finicky on a Mac and stopped working after 2 month

I had the previous model of this particular DVD burner and it only lasted a year. It's operation was flaky, but this model that LG has created has so far met all my expectations for installing programs and burning DVD movies. I have an old Gateway LT 2030u Netbook running Windows XP SP3 Professional and it handles it like a champ. Like a reviewer had said in their review, I agree about the reading time of this unit. It does not take long for the unit to recognize a disc. The included software is average - The only useful tool I found in there is Cyberlink YouCam and Power to Go. However they are not the complete full versions, they are light editions. Power to Go is missing it's virtual ISO mounting capability and some of the advanced features in the Webcam software are disabled and the program nags you to upgrade. No DVD playback software but it's to be expected at this price point for a an external DVD burner. There are free solutions out there if you are savvy enough to find them. One final nag about this product, the included cord seems shorter then other products I've seen. I guess this was meant to be a truly portable solution rather then something that can be placed on the desk elsewhere. But all in all, this product is impressive and reliable for the moment. Was in a pinch to pick something up from the local store to be able to work with DVD video and other burning projects so it was readily available.

I bought this item to play on. Work well for 2 weeks then shut down don't want to connect to pc installed 3 times. Yes the game is older but it was working just fine. I'm going to take it back and find a better one.

I used this for the first time & couldn't get the CD to eject. I returned it to Best Buy where someone from their Geek squad was able to eject my CD. They were very kind about returning it & giving me a refund.

Don't use to play movies. Its not compatible to play them.

I returned the returned the external driver thinking the internal would work did not work I bought another one and paid installation fee for Best Buy to fix they too could not get driver to work

Grabbed this as a backup, just in case something went wrong. I was running the show that was on the internet at a retirement party. I downloaded it and burned a CD prior to the event. Sure enough, internet at the location was too slow. Thank goodness this was plug and play. Went off without a hitch! Great price! Works everytime it has been needed. Rarely but good to have!
