I got this portable DVD/CD drive to install software on a new tablet. Unfortunately the cable did not fit with the Insignia cable adapter to accommodate the type C port in the tablet. However, I used it with my computer. It worked all right, no problem. The reason I gave it average quality rating is because it is a flimsy plastic case. It's light weight, which is nice, but I'm concerned that it will break easily. All in all, it's ok, just flimsy construction. Maybe that is what you get for a price of $35.

The drive easily connects with usb/plug and play in seconds. It is very portable, quiet and has a solid drawer moreso then any laptops I've ever used. Highly recommend this product.

This drive is perfect to load CD based software onto a laptop or home computer that does not have a disc drive. Excellent value too.

I know a lot of people are moving away from hard media, but I still like to use it for movies, and saving off important files. For these purposes, this dvd drive is great.

Needed a CD/DVD reader-player for my Surface Pro 4 and this did the trick. Sleek, compact, sits nicely on my desk but looks like it will travel well too.

Plug in and use...easy as that. And since most laptops do not come with CD/DVD drives standard anymore, this is the perfect companion.

Good! Does what it says it will. Working great with my mac and with my dad's pc. It plays DVD's and burns CDs! Love it!

This was recommended by associate as a cheaper alternative to the apple plug and play. I had a bit of trouble installing the software, but eventually got it working. You can hear the disc turning which is a bit annoying not sure if that is typical for an external drive as I have no other experience. Also compared to a built in drive it is a bit slower to load the content.

Since my computer did not come with I drive I purchased this. I love how portable and quiet it is. Works perfectly.

I needed it for my iMac and it worked just fine. Price is also more reasonable that Apple's SuperDrive.
