Not realizing this, it seemed to work fine until my "30 day free trial period" expired. Now will not play a DVD on my laptop (the whole point of the purchase) until I buy their software program at a minimum of $59,95

I put in the DVD that comes with it to load the software; it made awful noises for over two minutes, so I took out the disk and restarted the computer. I finally got the install disk to work (after several minutes of noises and frozen screens trying to open files on the disk). I downloaded the software, but now I can't get any DVDs to play. All it does is make loud noises. I'm returning to Best Buy tomorrow.
