    Drove 45 minutes to pick up open box "good" condition. I inspected the monitor and returned as it has marks on the screen and large dents or scratches. This should have not been in "good" condition.

    horrible black light bleeding, I would never purchase this unless it was on a steep discount

    I ordered this monitor (open box) listed in excellent condition. Normally I wouldn't risk open box, but this monitor is impossible to find so I went for it. Sure enough the monitor came with not only a massive crack on the screen, but it was a completely different model than the one I ordered. Luckily my local Best Buy handled the return quickly, but I was pretty annoyed as I was really excited for this monitor. Be extremely wary if buying open box!

    I will be returning this week, and getting something else. I bought 2 of them 1 is a dud. It keeps power cycling never stays on longer than 1 hr, and the LED on the back doesn't work.

    Broke within 4 months picture quality is okay not great build quality is not bad. There are better monitors in this price ranger to buy.

    Dead pixel on arrival /light bleed on other ips

    I ordered 2 1 had severe light bleed thr other one was perfect except for that one dead pixel. I order another hopefully i hit thr monitor lotto

    Good. But not great

    Jumped on the chance to pick one of these up when I saw one available nearby. The design of the monitor is fantastic (specifically the borderless sides). HDMI 2.1 speaks for itself when it comes to the newer consoles. Image clarity looks great. So why 3 stars? IPS glow is HORRIBLE for a monitor that costs $900+. I've paid $250 for monitors that have little to none, while this has a ton. On top of that, no USB-C / Thunderbolt connections or ANY internal speakers. The stand is.. mediocre at best (although a monitor arm solves this). I use HDMI 1 for my laptop and HDMI 2 for my Series X. When switching inputs, it basically completely ejects the HDMI thats not in use (my computer immediately goes into a sleep mode). There's also no "smart" or automatic switching. Everything is manual. If you powered off on HDMI 1 and there's no signal when powering on, you have to manually change it even if there's signal coming into another input. Lastly, eyecare. Lots of monitors offer a low blue light option of some kind (my previous $300 1080 monitor had it included) yet theres nothing to be found here? Color calibration makes you jump through hoops and download additional software to save those color profiles. There's a reason every major monitor MFG haven't released monitors with these specs just yet, and it seems to be the ones that are out now have cut corners somewhere. Rolling back to a 1440p monitor and waiting for better options to be released (or at least perfected)

    Good, but with one flaw.

    It's a great monitor in almost every way. No pixel defects, high visual fidelity, high refresh rates. Unfortunately it has two significant flaws: First, when playing games, the screen will occasionally go black for about 1-2 seconds before coming back. There are numerous workarounds people have posted online (G-sync off, lower refresh rate, etc) but none of them seem to actually solve the problem. Allegedly this is a firmware bug and can be solved with a firmware update, but LG's OnScreen Control app has not been able to find the firmware update. It was apparently available for a few days in early March but hasn't been visible since. Second, the monitor goes into a "deep sleep" mode which will cause Windows to forget which monitor windows were on before the displays went to sleep. So every time I unlock my system I have to spend time rearranging windows to the correct monitors. It's really obnoxious. This too is supposedly fixed by a firmware update which adds a "deep sleep" option in the monitor menus, but again I haven't been able to get any firmware updates for this thing yet.

    IPS glow is bad on this $900 monitor even with adjusting the settings, the rbg lights doesn’t sync through HDMI like the Samsung S28AG70, it says HDR 600 but when playing on consoles like the PS5 and XSX the HDR is so dark and colors washed out with the IPS glow it is useless for consoles. Just pass on this and go with some other cheaper options like the Samsung S28AG70, Gigabyte M28U or save a few hundred dollars and get a LG C2 48” now that they’re dropping in price.

    HORRIBLE Quality Control: ONLY 1 Out of 5 Worked

    While this is a great monitor with great picture quality, the build quality and quality control on these is just TERRIBLE! I needed TWO monitors for my home office setup. In total I bought 5 of these!! Out of the 5, only 2 were NOT defective upon opening. I returned the remaining 3. The defective ones all had the issues that other reviews have already mentioned: weird flickering, weird patches of white/gray spots where the screen flickers (like statics on the TV), weird stuck rows/columns of pixels. Among the 2 monitors that I kept, one broke in less than a year. I turned it on one day and there was a row of yellow pixels stuck right in the middle of the screen. Luckily it was still under warranty, and I was able to get it repaired for free. HOWEVER, right when the warranty expired it broke again. This time, the contrast/brightness would constantly go in an our (bright -> dark -> bright -> dark in quick succession). I got in touch with LG, paid $350 dollars for the repair service (yikes, half the price of the monitor!!), and just got it back. It's working now, but the OSD joystick on the bottom is now super stiff and I can't easily navigate the menus anymore). All in all, after 2 years of ownership, only 1 monitor is still working properly. So the defect rate is at a staggering 80%! This is certainly not the quality I expect from LG.
