Great monitor, just a few issues
|Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.[Employee of bestbuy] Amazing monitor, the oled panel definitely beats any regular monitor. Has a great peak brightness, better than other oleds I’ve seen. The matte finish is alright but I’d prefer a glossy one. But as for the monitor itself it’s sleek and has a great look to it. I also appreciate all the oled care components. However, I did end up getting a dead pixel, I’m sure I just got unlucky but I recommend a warranty for sure.

Solid monitor
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. There is no denying that OLED brightness and color depth destroys traditional IPS monitor. Coming from an Acer Predator 4k 144hz 1ms IPS with GSYNC and basic Freesync, the only thing lacking from this LG is its 2k display. The Letters on screen aren’t as smooth looking as the 4k with overall graphics ever so slightly less smooth. The massive advantage this monitor provides is 280hz and 0.03 ms response. It made it feel like my 4k display was lagging looking around in a game. The in game movements are snappy. Having an AMD 9070 XT the Freesync Premium Pro makes it that much better with no more screen tearing during gameplay. Going down from 4k to 2k the 9070 XT also gets a big FPS boost. Don’t forget with any OLED display to turn off the monitor and have no static images for prolonged periods. Turning it off after use also initiates another fantastic feature Image Cleaning which refreshes and scrubs any potential burn ins on the panel. Bought it Open Box excellent condition. came with some glue/sticky stuff on the screen (probably from tape) and a small dent on the bottom left of the screen. Still functions as it should and no issues with the image.

My First OLED
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Was looking for an OLED and was between this and an Alienware. This monitor is a 4th generation Tandem. People online have had issues with grey banding. I am not one of them, this monitor is great! I enjoy everytime I use and it was the BestBuy employees that steered me in this direction!

Really good
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Don’t understand the bad reviews that aren’t related to physical damage (i.e. the person with the burn/light on their screen). This monitor is phenomenal. Way better than my 27 inch IPS from 2020 (also LG). Would recommend.

Excellent 1440p OLED
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Coming from a 1440p 165hz IPS panel this is an excellent display. I have several LG OLED TVs but this is my first OLED monitor. It is surprisingly bright and vibrant. Text quality is exceptional and the overall build and aesthetic is premium. However, at $849.99, I cannot recommend it over the Gen 3 options that are coming down in price now. I got this monitor for $599.99 on sale, (which is crazy due to the fact it released for purchse in September). Being, basically the first tandem OLED on the market I am extremely happy with this monitor.

Great for scenery gaming
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great monitor, Upgraded from 27' 144hz 1080p monitor. I play World of Warcraft and it looks pretty amazing. - I was worried about burn in but the monitor has pixel cleaning which you can do manually or after the monitor is not used for some time it automaticly begins pixel cleaning. - There is some noticeable flicker when using auto HDR feature as its designed to turn on secondary lighting during brighter scenes/areas. But if your heavily gaming it goes unnoticed, I mainly see it during load screens or some areas while skyriding.

Great Quality
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Sooooo bright, I upgraded from a 240hz 1080p LG monitor and OMG this thing is amazing. Matt coating is great for me since my room isn't 100% dark all of the time. Great on PC, just okay I'd say for console. I'd definitely recommend you get a 4k 120hz OLED TV or monitor for PS5/ Xbox. Perfect Monitor to just Plug and Play for PC gaming. I was able to snag one for $530.99 Open Box Excellent! No issues at all.

Tandem OLED Rocks
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This was my first venture into OLED pc gaming and boy, does it make for a fantastic experience. Super crisp visuals, ultra fast response time, and high brightness (even for OLED). Now it does come with some faults that plague all other WOLED panels, mainly some uneven gray uniformity and text fringing, but that comes with the technology. Very nice build quality, this thing is sturdy. Cleaning the screen is a breeze, unlike QD-OLED monitors. Overall, couldn’t be happier.

Worthwhile when on sale, 600-650
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Very worthwhile upgrade coming from a AOC Q27G3XMN. The only thing the AOC/MiniLED does better is better full brightness wallpapers or websites like news sites that have an all white background, but this is due to all oled technology not being able to blast full white screens so as to not use excess power or damage the monitor. The MiniLED is also better for reading/text clarity. But for movies/games/darker wallpapers/media consumption this monitor is better in every way. Amazing hdr, better color vibrance, One thing I never really realized with my AOC was the black crush, or how much detail was lost in images and video where scenes got darker because I wanted a darker screen as having a dim backlight on at all times looks nasty. Amazing clarity/smoothness in motion which I didn't think would be as big a difference going from 180hz MiniLED to 280hz oled but the smoothness of looking left in right in games or during high action scenes in battlefield 6 is easily a 1.5x-2x better experience on the oled. For gaming alone it's easily worth at a sale price. Bought this cus I didn't want to wait for the Gigabyte MO27Q28G or Asus ROG Strix XG27AQWMG. Well worth the purchase though AT SALE PRICE. Otherwise compare prices to the two previously listed monitors and compare feature sets.

Needs quick tinkering but very good product
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. You have to calibrate the hdr to remove blurry images when you first turn it on but after you do the image is outstanding

Excellent monitor with readable text for an OLED
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Tandem OLED, 280hz, Low-input lag, and with HDR? Sounds too good to be true but alas this monitor exists. LG really pulled knocked it out of the park and then some with this display. Colors are vibrant and not overly saturated. Text is also very legible compared to other OLED monitors and is a common complaint of existing non-tandem OLED monitors. Text still isn't sharp like a great IPS display. However, this monitor is great for Gaming, Youtube watching, viewing movies/tv shows and even video editing. Regarding gaming, the latest Battlefield, S.T.A.L.K.E.R 2 and the Oblivion Remake look fantastic. As do other non-HDR supported titles like Max Payne 2, Fallout New Vegas, and Clair Obscure. For gaming and multimedia content, I don't think I can ever go back to a non-OLE display. I do not think this monitor is great for work unless you do video content. I will report on the burn-in a year from now.

It’s good, but a 4K tandem oled would be better.
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.PROS: Good colors, excellent brightness. CONS: VRR Flickering, text readability is not the best.

Tandem OLED is here!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My first OLED. A huge improvement over the old technology. Highly recommend getting the new generation tandem OLED. Very bright, text looks very sharp. HDR looks amazing as well. Much more durable than previous generations. A huge step in the right direction.

Horrible HDR
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. When HDR is turned off the colors pop and the monitor looks amazing when HDR is turned on it looks dull and washed out like a first gen LED monitor from 1998 . I can't even fathom how is this even possible? Did they not test the monitors before they release them? I find it so unacceptable for an issue like this in 2025.

Posted .Hi there, Charles. Thank you for sharing your experience with us. We understand that the LG UltraGear 27" OLED QHD 280Hz Gaming Monitor didn't meet your expectations regarding the HDR color performance. Your feedback is important, and we understand your inquiry. To improve the HDR vibrancy, please ensure you have the Windows HDR Calibration app installed from the Microsoft Store to create a custom color profile, and verify that Smart Energy Saving is turned Off in the monitor's General settings to prevent automatic dimming.

27" LG OLED that will not disappoint
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.High quality display. The picture is bright. The image is sharp and I sit about 15 inches away from the monitor. Has built in features to prevent OLED burn in. Just as advertised. I want another one. Happy with this purchase.
