The monitor also states it is GSync compatible, but in Nvidia control panel, the display shows up as not certified. For the price, you'd expect a better finished product.

First and foremost, I want to acknowledge that the peak brightness issue you're experiencing is a major concern. 600 nits is not even close to the advertised level of brightness, and it's clear that this is affecting your viewing experience. I apologize for any frustration or disappointment this has caused.
Regarding the HDR issue, I want to assure you that we take this very seriously. HDR is a key feature for many customers, and we should have gotten it right.
