Was upgrading from mt 27 inch OLED 240hz WQHD monitor by LG. Much better with this as it can go into 480hz on 1080p, but even better being OLED this one is 4K. I wish they put in a remote with it like my 27 inch had, but there's a button on the back on the monitor to adjust settings. Overall satisfied, but not so much for the price. Should be about 1100 or 1200.

I use this everyday for my remote work and has not let me down! Great color accuracy, fast refresh rate, and the screen real estate is appreciated in my single monitor setup.

I LOVE THIS MONITOR!!!! I don't use this in 480hz mode ever. I cannot review that part of this monitor, but for 4k gaming..... Chef's Kiss. Response time is great. I am coming from a 27 inch IPS 165hz monitor... This thing kills it. The colors and the blacks make everything look better. I picked this up as a open box. I don't know why anyone would have returned it. I am glad that they did!

Coming from a 24” 360hz monitor to this is just amazing. The 240hz at 4k and 1080p at 480hz is amazing I thought the quality would be bad at 1080 but it isn’t. It feels two monitors in one. The integrated speaker sounds great and not cheap.

4k 240hz and Oled is a dream. The 1080p 480hz mode is okay, if you don't care about pixel clarity you'll be fine but I can't get over how blurry it was at any size 32" 27" or 24". The pixel scaling is NOT 1:1 so it just becomes blurry for me. TLDR: If you can deal with slight bluryness on the 480hz 1080p mode. Its a must have monitor.

HDR clips at 600 in W11 & black levels are crush

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

The HDR clips at 600 in games & the Windows calibration app on W11 w/ Gamer 1/2 modes. The only time you can get HDR above 600 in Windows is if you use RTS/FPS/Vivid mode where it locks you out off multiple picture settings, raises to sharpness to terrible levels (can't adjust it), has absolute terrible colors & applies some sort of DTM where it will then clip at 2800. Clearly not normal. HDR also introduces black crush. This can be confirmed w/ a black level NIT test pattern made for HDR via YouTube. You can also confirm this in the Windows HDR calibration app where the image will disappear even at 0.1150. The black level image is supposed to disappear at .0100 like every other LG OLED. The only way to fix this is to raise black stabilizer from 50 to 75+ but then it raises all black levels to IPS like levels. Rushed to the market. These issues need to be address in a firmware update. Extremely disappointed.

Grossly Overpriced, but Also Nearly Perfect

Nothing is perfect, but it's hard to give this monitor anything but five stars. Contrast and motion clarity are perfect, of course. HDR could perhaps be a be more accurate, as could SDR color accuracy out of the box. But at least blacks are purple in a well lit room as they are on QD-OLED monitors. The Asus version is a bit more accurate and has more ports, but that crazy stand takes up a lot of space I need. The biggest gripe I have would have to be how obscenely overpriced all OLED monitors are right now.

Really good monitor for gaming and watching the occasional movie. Yes the matte screen can be a let down for many but for me it’s perfect and I think that’s not a deal breaker. The 480hz is def a game changer and makes it easier with a change of a button

I really enjoy this monitor. I am currently comparing it to the ASUS model that has the same panel. The dual mode feature works very well and is pretty seamless. The speakers are also very good on this monitor when comparing to external options.

Hard to say what’s left to want out of a monitor. Fastest response time I’ve had, it’s clean, vivid… I was shocked that it seemed somehow “dimmer” than other panels - but after learning about OLED and giving it time to grow on me it is more than bright enough, especially for its location in my office. I use this for gaming, and occasionally for music production and standard office work.

Got it openbox excellent with only 6 hours of use on it, still with plastic on it, for $960. Beautiful monitor with it being 4k OLED, it's on another level. The only bad thing about it is needing a high-end GPU, but with a 7900 xtx it's an amazing experience. I suggest using Vivid mode and using FreeSync or G-Sync.

I was looking for a monitor that is pretty good at doing it all. Not necessarily the very best in a single category. Except for maybe one thing that is very important to me. Text. I can't stand fuzzy lines on text. Because this is a WOLED display text looks as good as it does on my iPhone screen, but on a 32" display. So it looks good from 2 feet away. It looks good at 12 feet away. Of course this looks amazing watching video in HDR and Gaming in HDR. One thing you will want to do as soon as you get this monitor home is update to the latest firmware by going here. Because the V1 firmware is not good enough. https://www.lg.com/us/support/help-library/lg-monitor-how-to-update-monitor-firmware-CT32009622-20153819322140 The fit and finish is a 9 out of 10. For a 10 it needs to be aluminum which it is not.

After trying the 240hz 2k panel LG offers, as well as the 360hz Samsung one, I decided on this monitor and I couldn’t be happier! This one is noticeably brighter than the other WOLED, and the dual mode works way better after a firmware update. The QLED had brighter colors, but I really wanted the 4k mode for zombies and then 480hz for any FPS games. I have an rtx 4070 ti super which handles nearly every game with DLSS at 4k. Could use a GPU upgrade, but it’s still hitting the frames I need so meh. The only downside against the 240hz is no remote. I honestly hated the remote at first, but now I miss it lmao. It makes switching your settings wayyyy faster. LG put the remote for the 4k monitor, not the 2k gaming one, since the price point kind of demands one.

I have mine connected to a gaming PC and also an Apple TV box. The display looks amazing for both and even in a well lit room. Of course i turn all my lights off to game or movie so the darkest black colors really look fantastic. I do have the display arm mounted and was surprised by the light weight upon lifting it. Would I say worth it at full price of LCD or LED tech or black light HDR tech? Maybe not but this monitor drops in price rather often, simply keep an eye on it for a good deal.

The 4K OLED is crisp and beautiful for all the single player games I play. However, the 1080p 480hz mode leaves much to be desired. You have the option to shape the 1080p mode into a 24 or 27 inch window, but both seem far too fuzzy and pixelated to make the increase in refresh rate worth it. I felt like I was taking too much of a hit at quality/fidelity for the 480hz to actually help me. Overall a fantastic monitor with best features, but I would recommend testing out the 1080p mode in store first to make sure the quality is up to snuff before you fork out the cash. With that said, if the monitor was $999, I believe it would be a no-brainer. To each their own!
