Coming from the legendary Alienware 34” AW3420DW ultrawide, this monitor has a higher refresh rate, a punchier screen and a curve that I thought could potentially be distracting but was in fact, more immersive than I could have expected. The only issue with this monitor was the text fringing. Text was simply not sharp and while it was still readable, looking at it will make you question if this was a wise investment and how feasible it could be for multi-year use.

Oleg gaming on 1440p is amazing Don't get me wrong but most of the content I view does not look the best on this screen. It does very well in a room with a window due to the matte finish on the screen. This apparently will diminish the overall picture quality but for my setup it works well because I'm typical on my PC when it's still light out. I would love 4K for crisper text and video but overall I'm satisfied with my purchase.

Overall great experience. Would highly recommend for an immersive experience. I play RPGs like Fallout 4 and Elder Scrolls but also 1st Person shooters like Destiny 2 and Call of Duty. Very pleased with this purchase.

I have two OLED monitors but this LG model is much better from color accuracy to refresh rate. If your looking for a good all around monitor from gaming to movie watching I would highly recommend.

Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.If you play on a pc then it’s the perfect monitor (unless your are looking for a 4k) it’s very immersive and has a great image quality, the only problem I could think of is that if you are playing on a console the aspect ratio won’t let you enjoy the full screen since it’s a 21:9 and the consoles only run at 16:9

Ive always used ultrawide monitors and this is honestly best upgrade Ive ever done. It is only hdr400, but because the blacks are "true black", HDR looks great, especially coming from the LG 34N850
