Too curved, echos voice back into ears when gaming. Resolution is too low for the size, 32" and up really only look good at 4k resolution. Wish it had speakers and a better and brighter panel (my older 27" WOLED gets much brighter and has better color saturation). Overall decent design though, and the sale pricing is great!

**THE PROTECTION PLAN IS A SCAM**

I am extremely disappointed with the handling of my recent return attempt under the Best Buy Protection Plan. Despite the product being defective and covered by my plan, the store’s general manager refused to process the return, claiming he did not observe the issue I described. I also explained that I could not leave the monitor at the store since I needed a replacement immediately to complete my work, yet I was offered no professional support or resolution. It is troubling how easily these protection plans are sold, yet when customers attempt to use them, the process feels dismissive and unnecessarily difficult. This experience leaves me questioning the value of the program and the commitment to customer care.

Hi, there. Thank you for reaching out to us. We understand the importance of having a monitor you can rely on, especially with a model like the LG Monitor (34GS95QE‑B) model.

One step you can try is performing a power cycle by unplugging the monitor for about 30 seconds and reconnecting it. This helps reset the internal display controller and can sometimes clear temporary panel or signal irregularities. For more guidance, visit https://www.lg.com/us/support/product/lg-34GS95QE-B. We’d like to learn more so we can assist you further. Please send us an email at lgdigitalcare@lg.sprinklrsupport.com with your details, and our team will be ready to help. ^Juvy LG

Hello there, Beck. Thank you for sharing your experience with us. We understand your inquiry regarding the LG UltraGear 34GS95QE-B.AUS OLED Curved Gaming Monitor and that the curve made the visuals look different than expected. The UltraGear 34GS95QE-B.AUS features a 21:9 curved screen designed to provide immersive gameplay with its high refresh rate of 240Hz and ultra-fast 0.03ms response time, but we understand that preferences for curvature can vary.

As a helpful step, you may want to try adjusting the monitor’s position or distance to your seating area to see if it improves the viewing experience, as sometimes small changes in angle or distance can reduce any perceived visual distortion caused by the curve.

The all white with the black display looks really good. The stand is sturdy and seems pretty solid. When I shake my desk the display doesn't wobble like some do. The monitor is easy to adjust and I appreciate how high it can go for us taller folks. They also included a white hdmi and display port cable in the box! Thank you for that. Note there are no speakers in this. You will need to use headphones or external speakers. On the back you will find 2 HDMI ports, 1 Display port and some USB ports. Has auto input switching function where you can have multiple pcs connected and it will try and auto switch to other input once one stops sending signal. Also PIP which I dont typically use. This has a W-OLED display at 1440p with a matte finish. Its a 34" ultra wide monitor so as you would expect its pretty big. But still a tad smaller than having two 24" monitors side by side on your desk. Lets be honest, the 800R curve on this thing is aggressive. You will either love it or hate it. With a curve like that its meant to be closer to you. After using it for a few min you dont even notice it and it works really well in real world use. The onscreen menu took me a few min to figure out but once I did its very easy to use. There is also LG software you can install that makes it even easier to make changes. When you first turn it on you will notice its a bit dim due to the profile its using. I was not a fan of the default built in display profiles but thats an easy fix. I had to adjust the color temp (medium looked most accurate to me) and turn up the brightness a little. Once I had it adjusted to my liking it looked fantastic. This oled panel has vivid colors, deep blacks, great contrast and brightness. One thing to note is that text clarity is just ok on this display. Its still not as good as my LCD at same resolution and ppi. I found that setting sharpness to 50% helped a lot though. If you use this for work or do a lot with text on the display, you will want to make sure to adjust that. When it comes to overall size I find that its a bit heavier and thicker that I expected for a oled display. Its no thinner than my older LCD monitors. The power brick is pretty big as well since its not built into the back of the monitor which brings up another point. Why isn't it built into the back of the monitor if its going to be this size? It also has a fan built into the back of the display which I thought was odd. I can hear it in a silent room when it kicks on. Would have preferred passive cooling here instead of a fan but not a big deal. Now where this thing shines! I paired this up to my gaming rig and wow does it look amazing! At max 240Hz refresh rate and a almost 0 response lag, its soooo smooth. It makes walking and moving around in game so much more satisfying and responsive. And the colors/contrast make even my older games look so much better. Nvidia Gsync worked great with my Nvidia GPU. There is also RBG lighting on the back. This all makes gaming so much more enjoyable. What would make this a 5 star monitor. In my opinion add speakers, put the power brick in the monitor, have the monitor sit closer to the mount, and fix the text/color fringing. But in all this is a fantastic gaming monitor and due to its great specs, thats why most people will use this for. Once you make the move from LCD to OLED for gaming its hard to go back.

Hi there. Thank you for sharing your experience with us. We understand your situation with the 34GS95QE-B monitor, and we appreciate your patience. We're here to help you get this resolved.

To start troubleshooting, we recommend checking the power cable and ensuring it's securely connected to both the monitor and the power outlet. If the monitor is connected to a PC or gaming console, ensure the input source is correctly selected.

If you are someone like me who needs a little more desktop space and loves to do some gaming in your free time, I am sure these ultrawide monitors have caught your eye. Out of the box, I can tell you this monitor is beautiful, it just has really good design and will look great anywhere. It is very solidly designed and the base is very sturdy. It is flat on the bottom so you won’t have to deal with multiple legs taking up your valuable desk space. It can raise and lower as well as tilt up and down and side to side. It comes with 2 HDMI 2.1 and 1 DP 1.4 input which should be plenty for most users. You can easily switch between the inputs with a small button on the back of the monitor as well as adjust all your settings. When you turn this thing on for the first time, you will be amazed at how crisp and clear and beautiful the picture looks. It is an OLED screen which means you will get true black and very vivid colors which is perfect for gaming. Not to mention this also has a 240Hz refresh rate which will definitely take your gaming to the next level. The screen also has virtually no glare or reflection and is about as borderless as you can get. I have mine in my home office, so I use it for everyday tasks like browsing the web, watching streaming videos, editing photos and videos and things like that. I have to say it does take a little getting used to if you are coming from a completely flat monitor. But after a couple days your eyes will adjust to it and it will be very comfortable to use, even for prolonged periods of time. I also like to unwind and do some gaming as well. I must tell you; this monitor will immerse you in the game a lot more than a regular flat monitor will. Its hard to describe unless you actually experience it for yourself, but it will give you the feeling like you are in the game, especially if you are able to sit fairly close to the monitor. Combine that with the amazing color of the OLED, the 240Hz refresh rate, and also being compatible with G-Sync and FreeSync and you have just about the perfect gaming monitor! I can say if you are interested or have been on the fence about these curved monitors, I would say they are absolutely worth it! I have used a couple of them before and this one definitely has the best picture quality I have seen!

This is one of the most flexible monitors I've had. I want to most importantly express how once out of the box, the monitor screen can be very, very, very easily be moved up and down, tilted to and fro, angled any which way, swivled back and forth, and even the stand can rotate like a lazy susan with the right amount of resistance. This is where I feel this monitor outshines other monitors of this class. Many larger monitors are set and hope it fits. This one is so adjustable it blew my mind. As for performance, the colors are better than most, the curvature is the right amount to feel enveloping, and the startup is quick and crisp. I left a star off for the review because the downloadable software for adjustability leaves a bit to be desired. I expect this to get updates over the course of owning this monitor, so really looking forward to a better experience in that respect. Otherwise, it has a premium look and feel, has quite a prescence, and looks better than any monitor I have previously owned!!

    Curved OLED Goodness!

I am currently driving this monitor with a RTX3080 and paired it with an older Dell 34" (SLIGHTLY curved) monitor (which is that has the same UWQHD (3440x1440) resolution. So jumping from desktop to desktop from screen to screen is not jarring. The Dell is an matte IPS screen was color accurate out of the box and has an antiglare coating although it wasn't super effective where I have it placed in front of my South facing window mid morning/day. Directly comparing the UltraGear to the Dell, the Curve is much more significant and almost feels like it wrapping around my eyeballs. Colors are extremely vibrant with great blacks on the OLED. Playing games like Forza 5; which looked good on my Dell, looked amazing on the UltraGear. I will usually have the game on the UltraGear and my phone/email apps on my Dell. While I was not getting 240hz refresh on the UltraGear I was floating around 166hz which is noticeable over the 60hz refresh on the Dell. Games such as Red Dead Redemption are locked to 60hz so not much of a difference there, but the colors in the scenery are more vibrant than that of the Dell. The color and lighting on my UltraGear is uniform and have no stuck pixels. I'm not sure if it's due to the 800R curvature of the screen or better antiglare coating, but seems better at cutting glare than my dell. Side by side midday with the sun blasting through my shades there I see nothing on the UltraGear vs diffused light and shadow on my Dell. Definitely a plus for the LG. The stand is also sturdy and keeps my monitor stable when my desk is bumped or jarred. A lot of height adjustment and decent side to side adjustment for a monitor this curved. Can even slightly tilt the monitor (although I don't know why... tilted desk?). The single control stick behind the bottom portion of the center of the screen is a touch tricky to find at first, but I got used to the position is simple enough to figure out and use. I initially thought the UltraGear had speakers and couldn't figure out how to get sound out of it, but then realized the volume was ONLY for plugging in WIRED headphones. Took my a little while to figure that out. Along trying to figure that, I don't know if there is supposed to be lighting on the back of the sceen. Not that it's that important to me as I will never look at the back of the screen, but I still don't know if that is something this monitor is supposed to be able to do. I would've liked to see USB C video on the UltraGear, especially at this price point, but I am more than able to use the connections it has so its not much of an issue. Aside from a few gripes I mentioned above I do really enjoy using this monitor and am very happy with it. I wouldn't have any problems recommending it as long as someone was willing to spend this kind of money on a screen.
