This is oled gaming perfection! <3
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I just upgraded today from a Samsung LED G9 Odyssey 49 inch, to his 45 inches of LG OLED awesomeness! The 4K resolution for gaming is a game changer for me. Day and night difference in picture quality and game screen size for games. Truly you get more screen with this 45 inch than the 49 ultrawide samsung monitor. I have a i9 intel, RTX 4090 card and 32 RAM and I had no issues whatsoever with the monitor... it was truly a seamless plug and play experience. So maybe the ones having issues with the DP 2.1 cable is because their PCs are older/less capable? I truly had no hiccups at all. Definitely a must buy for me. Totally recommended. I play mostly Marvel Rivals and let me tell you, the picture quality at epic graphics and Quality DLSS setting is the best. I calibrated the picture quality to "Gamer 2", reduced the sharpness to 50, set the Peak Brightness to High and the Gamma to "Mode 4" and to me that is best awesome quality I've been dreaming for! truly worth the upgrade and the money I paid (the full $2K).

Perfect gaming display
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Full title was going to be “Perfect gaming display if your budget and desk have room.” Upgraded from a 1440 and the text clarity and resolution bump are noteworthy. Not TV level OLED diplay but excelent for PC gameplay. Was worried about the curve but due to the size it works well with no distortion.

LG 5K/2K Monitos
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I absolutely love this monitor. I originally bought the 45 inch that was 3840 x 1440 and it was very nice. 2 weeks later the 5K/2K came out and it was within the 30 day return window so I upgraded and am happy I did. The extra amount of real estate you get is great especially with multiple windows open. This is so much better than the 2 - 32" monitors I had. This works great as a gaming monitor but I wanted it for multitasking and 3 or 4 windows open at a time. It is display port 2.1 compatible and came with all the right cables. It has built in speakers that work very well also. I highly recommend this monitor and LG as a brand as well. .

The One Ultrawide OLED to rule them all!
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Upgrading from the 38" Alienware AW3821DW and I can say that OLED is a game changer! The upped 5k2k resolution is amazing once you are dialed in with the colors and the curve becomes one with your pupils!

Great upgrade
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Loving this monitor so far. Upgraded from LG 34” 21:9 1440p. 5k2k Resolution is fantastic. The size is impressive. Certainly meant for larger desks and/or wall mounting. If you decide to use this monitor for gaming, be certain your GPU can run the resolution. DLSS or FSR can help with this. The curve is great for immersion and productivity. Could be excessive IF you sat too far away. I keep peak brightness on low so that I can sit closer without straining my eyes. At the current sale price, I would encourage anyone looking at this monitor to pull the trigger. At MSRP, I would suggest making sure it is in your budget, as it is a premium product with premium price tag.

THE ULTIMATE ULTRAWIDE
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is my end game monitor for casual gaming! You will need a decent GPU to be able to push the resolution and frame rate this Oled Panel can provide but you will be blown away by the performance. Baldur's Gate 3 just looks amazing on this!

End game monitor.
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.End. Game. Monitor. I’ve been really impressed with the LG 5K2K (5120x2160) ultrawide. The extra vertical resolution over typical 3440x1440 makes a big difference for productivity—coding, spreadsheets, and two full-size windows side-by-side feel effortless. Text is extremely crisp, and scaling looks clean on both macOS and Windows. Color reproduction is excellent for photo/video work, and brightness is strong enough for a well-lit room with minimal glare. Connectivity has been reliable, and the monitor wakes quickly without constant input switching. The stand is solid with smooth height/tilt adjustments. It’s pricey, but if you want high-DPI ultrawide workspace, it delivers.

lg 45
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Upgraded from a Samsung 49 inch monitor (CRG9), and I can't recommend the upgrade enough! I am running at full resolution (maybe not full speed) with a couple of 10 series NVIDIA cards on a (almost) 10 year old PC, which is both a commentary on the quality of the old cards and the flexibility of this monitor. The brightness in comparison is insane! The old monitor was much heavier with this one being much easier to move/manipulate; especially love the ease with which it will raise and lower. Resolution is crisp and the size is perfect! While the 49 inch monitor gave a 'smaller' resolution over a wider screen, with the LG seemingly much larger in comparison even at 5K; however, instead of giving you small print and tiny video game characters to watch, you get to appreciate the fine detail and clarity with a taller and more narrow screen. Your first thought will be "the resolution is not a effectively good" but you realize the meant you have to swivel your head side-to-side across a really wide monitor. While the curve seems aggressive, it is completely natural while viewing. It is a more expensive monitor but you are getting what you pay for.

The Monitor You Deserve
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. After deciding to revamp my PC setup with a 5090, I spent a lot of time trying to find the perfect monitor to go with. I tried multiple 4K OLED monitors from Samsung, ASUS, and LG.. All were great, but the 5K2K loomed large in the back of my mind - it felt counter to the spirit of a 5090 rig to go with anything but. I finally pulled the trigger and have been happy since. I love the curve which is a total game changer in terms of immersion and though it feels extreme to begin with, settles you in nicely to the point that flat screens will begin to seem like they are almost curving backwards. I use it 80% for gaming and 20% for work and it's a game changer there as well - it's great to be able to have multiple excel sheets, Outlook and a browser all open on the screen at once without having to sacrifice too much space. Overall, I believe this is the best OLED on the market depending on your need. I can't give it 5 stars, because the price is so much higher than its closest competition and I would prefer it had some of the smart capabilities (including a remote) of other LG and Samsung OLEDs. It's annoying to walk away for a few moments and the monitor to turn itself off, then give me a hard time trying to turn it back on mere moments later.

The best monitor
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Beautiful oled screen and the perfect size for immersion while gaming. The extra screen makes multi-tasking a breeze as well, without the annoyance of having 2 screens. The 330 hz 1080p is also a nice touch.

Best Monitor Out There
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I’ve been using the LG UltraGear 45" OLED Dual Mode monitor for a few weeks now, and it’s easily one of the most impressive displays I’ve owned. The dual-mode feature is incredibly useful, letting me switch between stunning 5K2K resolution at 165Hz for immersive, visually rich games and a blazing-fast 330Hz mode for competitive titles. The OLED panel really stands out with deep true blacks, vibrant colors, and exceptional contrast that make everything look more lifelike. Motion is incredibly smooth thanks to the near-instant response time, which makes a noticeable difference in fast-paced gameplay. The 45-inch ultrawide screen combined with the aggressive curve creates a highly immersive experience, especially for racing games and cinematic titles. Overall, it feels like a premium, next-level monitor that elevates both visual quality and performance in a way that’s hard to go back from.

Future-proof your desk!
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This thing is great. The build quality is solid. Its 4 inputs allows for more inputs than the average person needs, and unless you have a state of the art rig, the monitor is probably more capable than your video hardware can take advantage up. This means it will work for now AND for your next computer you have yet to buy. The size is massive. The curve is something old me would have hated, but using it, you don't even notice it, really. It just makes the unit more immersive. I actually upgraded from the 2024 version, and the difference is incredible -- especially with my high end rig(s). My work machine is a couple years old, and can't take advantage of the 5K resolution, but all in all, this is an impressive upgrade over the predecessor. My only complaint is I wish there was a KVM built into the monitor, but I was able to procure a cheap KVM and although its now two button presses, I can quickly switch between 4 machines sharing a single keyboard and mouse -- macs and pcs.

Wish the finish was better
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I wish the fit and finish on the back was a little nicer. Especially with a curved. You end up seeing the back. like a silver or white. Just not the cheap plastic. The monitor looks really nice. But after comparing to the qoled. I prefer those vivid colors and pop more. Overall, though, I do recommend it, it looks great.

What a beauty
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Absolutely stunning! I replaced my 49” Samsung G9 Odyssey with the LG Ultragear and couldn’t be happier. It’s a lot of pixels for gaming (I have an RTX 5090), but it does have the dual mode feature where you can switch to 2560x1080@330Hz which I haven’t tried yet. One big plus for gaming is the built-in cross hair. You can select a small red or green dot as your cross hair which is ideal for me. The Samsung only has chunky tie-fighter shaped things that are way too large. Absolutely amazed by the color vibrance. Desktop clarity is also excellent in case you want to do coding or document writing. The curvature is more pronounced at 800R (vs. 1000R of the Samsung) but it works out well for my seating distance and eyesight,
