This is almost the perfect monitor, if not for the price and very high expectations, I would probably give this five stars.
I still think that text clarity is an issue, but I think the next generation will resolve that. That being said, it's mostly gone in this version.
Best monitor I've ever owned. Hopefully the price comes down for technology like this so it can be more obtainable generally.

Purchased this mainly for a driving simulator. Powered by a Radeon 7900XTX. Beautiful monitor. Deep blacks, colors pop out, muted sightly due to not being a glossy panel. Occasional VRR flickering gets a bit annoying but to be expected. Used with HDMI 2.1. There is some mention about the display port not being the latest standard of DP 2.1 UBHR 20 given the $2000 price, but this is academic in my opinion, looking at the quality of the image that isnt a deal breaker. Was initially hesitant about the extreme curve but it works perfectly for driving simulators. I like this so much that I am getting a second one for Microsoft Flight Simulator setup. One review on LG.com had green lines on the monitor, only hope I dont get this.

This monitor is an absolute beast. The 5K2K resolution on a 45" curved OLED screen is stunning—text is crisp, colors pop, and the blacks are deep as night. I use it for both work and gaming, and it's honestly changed the way I multitask. The curve pulls you right in, and the dual-mode toggle (5K at 165Hz or 2K at 330Hz) is genius—feels like having two monitors in one.
Gaming feels buttery smooth, especially in 2K mode. And for creative work or editing, the clarity and space are unbeatable. Only downside is it's not super bright, so not ideal in really sunny rooms. Still, if you've got the space and budget, this thing is next-level.

Compare to my Odyssey G9, the LG is best for gaming. It is Wider and bigger. Odysssay is longer but short good for workstation. GX9 5K2K automatically fits the screen in most of my games. While odyssey does not i had to play around with the resolution juat to fit the screen..over all 5/5 for the LG GC9

Love this montior! The 5K resolution is very clear and the 165 hz is very fast. Love the quality of this monitor. Also, the stand is excellent as well and not as bulky as last generation.

Honestly the best monitor on the market right now in 2025 if you have a strong enough GPU the gaming experience at 5k 2k on a OLED monitor is just amazing. My specs AMD 9950x3D, AIO, 64GB of DDR5 @6000mhz, XFX Mercury 9070xt, on games I play getting the full use of the 5k 2k 165hrtz and the 330 hrtz on the 1080 setting.

I was worried when I first set it up because I had vertical lines every 2 inches all the way across the screen. Ran pixel refresh and it was fine. This monitor is incredible paired with a 5080 and 9800x3d. Huge step up from 1440p

Worth every dollar, accidentally bought the 1440p version of this and wasn’t satisfied at all. Returned that one and got this 4k one and my gaming experience is fulfilled

I bought this for an upgraded gaming experience but also because it has a built-in docking station. With a single USB-C cable connection from the monitor to a laptop, you get an external screen + USB Hub + 90W of charging. This was the x-factor for me since I could use my laptop with it and not have to use a separate charger, not to mention all the screen real estate for work.nd when the work day is over, I can switch straight to my gaming rig. Heck, this screen does multi-view as well as PIP if you want to do that.

Fantastic monitor — equally great for gaming and work. The OLED panel delivers vibrant, punchy colors, and I’ve had it connected to my MacBook Pro, PC, and Switch 2 with seamless input switching. Highly recommended if you can stomach the price.

I have now purchased two of these monitors. one for home office, and one for my actual office since I just love the experience. I do mostly programming, but also the occasional gaming. this monitor is connected to a mac pro as well as my gaming pc, and works well with both. the viewing angle took a couple of days to get used to but i simply cant go back now.
