Good resolution poor color brightness
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The resolution is great but the overall picture is sub-par especially if you have been using a QD-OLED. I have used the Samsung G9 for 3 years then purchased this one as I wanted true 4k resolution but was disappointed on how dull the colors were and even more that the edges of the screen are darker to prevent over heating, so the screen isn’t universally the same brightness. For $1500 (on sale) I wouldn’t recommend it over a QD-OLED due to picture color quality and visual brightness. Calibration of the monitor to get the colors close to QD-OLED would completely flashbang you with white backgrounds while your colors were still Dull. If your going from a LCD screen to this it’s worth the buy but if you have a QD-ultrawide I would wait for LGs tandem oled or Samsung to make a 5120x2160 qd-oled. In the pictures it shows the color difference between the LG and the Samsung G9 (note the G9 wasn’t even hdr calibrated while the LG was). I hope this review helps anyone who might be considering this monitor who already owns a QD-OLED. (This was returned)

Good Oled monitor, just not for me.
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This monitor might be great for some but it's not for me. Not very bright. The curve is really hard to get used to. Gives me a headache. Also, you need a huge desk. Seeing it in store just doesn't give you an idea of how big this thing is until you have it in your space. Better have a 5090 for this thing to run games at 5k because the size of the monitor makes 1080p look bad. Don't know why the made the DP only half the bandwidth. Kind of defeats the purpose of DP 2.1. I'll definitely be returning. Not a bad monitor. It's just not for me.

Great monitor but missing simple feature
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It's a great monitor BUT I'm not a fan of the matt screen and NO EARC HDMI port..... For the price I'd rather have both of those features and LG dashboard with the remote instead of having to pay top dollar. I had to buy a $100 sound extractor to be able to play sound out my soundbar for movies and my PS5 Pro. Like I said for the price point all that should be included. Maybe it's just me but for $1500 everything should already clbe included.

The curve is kind of a gimmick, but kind of nice.
||Posted . Owned for 7 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The curve is kind of a gimmick, but kind of nice. My problem with this expensive monitor is mine was defective. If you're going to pay for a ridiculously expensive monitor, get the best buy warranty... I wish I did...

Great monitor, but constant shutdown issues
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this as an open-box deal and honestly felt like I was getting a steal at first. For the price, the performance was amazing. The screen quality is fantastic, the features are excellent, and the size is perfect for both gaming and streaming. I used it heavily with my NVIDIA Shield and my PC, and the curved ultrawide design always looked natural — nothing ever felt distorted or out of place. However, the biggest problem (and the reason for my low rating) is the monitor randomly shutting off. I tried everything to fix it. First I thought it was the cable connection, so I replaced every cord. It worked for a bit, then the shutoffs came back. Next, I assumed it was the power supply. I bought another one, and again it worked… until the same issue returned. So while the monitor looks great and performs well when it’s working, the reliability isn’t there. The constant power shutoffs make it frustrating to use. It’s a great monitor held back by persistent technical problems, and that keeps me from fully recommending it.

So close but just not enough to justify the price!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is not worth the price of admission. The display has strong edge vignetting and auto dimming if you have cont and the text should be much clearer given the PPI but it isn't even close. The kicker being the semi-matte display on top of all those issues - this was disappointing. The resolution and hertz switching is quite pointless at this size of a display and it makes text and graphics that much worse. Even in gaming you can see a considerable amount of degradation. You would be better off getting a separate high refresh rate monitor plus another high resolution monitor and you would likely spend less at the end of the day. Hoping LG continues to innovate in this space cause the size and resolution are sorely needed and this was really close to being perfect. But pricing is out of whack just cause they were first to market with a niche product and the feature set they tried to include felt more like they were throwing everything at the wall. I need LG to work up from their 42" OLED TVs and give us an ultra wide version of that!

Resolution not supported
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The new computer that I bought does not support a 5000k monitor. So the highest resolution I can go on this monitor is 3200 or so. I asked Best Buy to update the computer video card and they said they couldn't so I think I will have to return it since the new computers can run a 5000k monitor
