Setting up the xboom app was very easy and the step by step guide was very informative and simple to follow. Overall we love this portable speaker. Our teens had fun customizing the lighting and DJ settings. It's amazing with all the different light options and it was very simple to use and adjust. The app is very straightforward. The different lights definitely made the speaker more fun to use it just creates a great vibe. We used the speaker multiple times using Bluetooth and the usb connection and it was very easy to connect, the level of volume is great. It is a little bigger than expected but the handle definitely makes it manageable to move around. We've used multiple speakers and really love this one because the sound and clarity are great and the Bluetooth connection setup is a lot easier than others. We all love this speaker and use it everywhere from the family room, the yard, playing basketball, and taking it to hang up with friends. The kids actually are taking turns with who gets to travel with it. Who thought there would be so much love for a speaker?! It creates a great environment and feel all around, when hanging out with friends and family. We had a nice time enjoying it this weekend and look forward to continuing to use it more.

The LG XBOOM 360 is certainly a unique speaker. It's good a many things, but it's not really great at anything particular. As a portable bluetooth speaker, it is very easy to use. It's a one time setup and there's no delay from messing with settings when you want to start listening to music. It really is a nice all around speaker that you can take with you for the most part. To start off, this speaker can be configured with a mobile app. As far as settings go, they are what you expect. You can control the equalizer, different sound settings, power options, and lighting options. The app is responsive and intuitive, and for a product to be reliable on a mobile app, this is quite important. All the settings I like are part of the app, including the ability to turn on the speaker with bluetooth, which eliminates the need to turn on the speaker and then connect with your device. Auto power off also works as expected, and there is a chime when the speaker turns on and off so you know what's happening. As for the speaker itself, the sound is pretty average. You can spend hours trying to get the right settings with the equalizer, but at the end of the day you have to realize what it's capable of. The bass is a little lacking and the treble can be a little muffled at times. Maybe this is the downfall of a 360 speaker versus a directional speaker. You just don't get all the notes that you want. That being said, the portability of this speaker is pretty good. The battery lasts quite a while and it charges quickly as well. All that being said, this is still a worthy speaker to have. If you find yourself needing to carry sound from one place to another with ease, then this fills the role quite nicely.

The Xboom 360 is a great looking speaker, with classy aesthetics and cool looking lighting, let down by underwhelming sound quality given its relatively giant size. I feel they could've delivered a bit more, but I'll get into that later. Setup is straight forward as it is with virtually all Bluetooth speakers these days. You can choose to use the app, which I did, to aid in setup and expand the functionality of the speaker, though it's not required. Upon linking the speaker with your phone, the app presents you with some useful settings; primarily EQ and lighting adjustment abilities. The app comes with some out of box EQ options, or gives you the ability to further tweak the sound with a custom graphic EQ curve. It also lets you select various lighting scenes based on your mood, and I find the lights on this speaker to add to the overall package. Generally, lights on Bluetooth speakers feel tacky, but LG nailed the overall design and lighting aesthetic with the Xboom 360. It's classy and mostly understated (save for the giant size of course), and it has a subtly that fits into a wide number of usage scenarios. My wife appreciates that this doesn't look like your run of the mill speaker and instead like a quasi fashion piece that happens to play music. Music playback is where I was left underwhelmed with the Xboom. While it gets considerably loud without distortion (which makes this a good outdoor speaker option on the surface), it lacks a certain punch in the low end. To my ears, that leaves it sounding a bit thin, which was a disappointment given the amount of space LG had to utilize for potential drivers. Next, the speaker isn't IP rated at all from what I can tell, meaning it has no guarantee that even the smallest bit of water won't cause issues. This is a shame because, again, on the surface, this seems like the ultimate deck/patio/camping speaker. Finally, the battery life also feels slightly underwhelming at up to 10 hours. Again, given the size, it seems plausible that they could've either put more speakers in here or crammed a larger battery in. Overall, this is a decent speaker that does a great job of broadcasting a 360 degree soundscape with a classy aesthetic to match. I feel LG could've made the sound a bit more present, and also could've given an IP rating, but at the end of the day, this will likely be the speaker I reach for when we're hosting a patio party.

I LOVE THIS SPEAKER!! It has great sound and I purchased it for an amazing price as well. I'm surprised that it holds 10 hours of charge to take anywhere u want to take it.

Excellent sound, especially for a Bluetooth speaker, the light effects are nice and even the little DJ sampling stuff is kind of fun. The app is very easy to use to control it. I highly recommend it.
