Have been a fan of LG products for many years, ill blame the absolutely indestructible LG flip phone I had for dang near a decade, and the fridge that i loved. But the stero again lacks quality sound. Its like companies just throw the components together withput considering what makes sound quality. Its also bulky and ugly and looks like a boombox from the 80s (dont get me wrong, i love retro, bit there is good retro and bad retro) this looks cheap and trashy and adds nothing to the esthetic of the room you will put it in. Absolute eyesore.

I guess the average consumer is not as discerning as I am when it comes to sound quality (I used to compete in car stereo competitions...won five and was 2nd in the other two). The biggest problem is that the high end is really poor, regardless of the preset EQ setting. Perhaps the crossover is set badly. The second problem is that the midrange is very muddy on a lot of the presents. The last problem is the size. For a "bookshelf" system, the speakers are really bulky. The manual is also a joke. It simply names the parts and buttons. There are no instructions about the EQ presets (there are a lot). I had to look up the full manual online. I confirmed that the speakers suck by disconnecting them (and the sub) and hooking the system up to my Klipsch bookshelf speakers. Wow! Wonderful sound. This unit has the power but the speakers are a huge disappointment. I'm just going to buy a small amp and CD player and use my Klipsch speakers. I'm done experimenting with bookshelf systems.

Tried all the recommendations by customer service lg. So waiting for part to replace a main board . Hope this works, sound is very nice, easy to move around, reasonable price.
