This is a pretty good presentation but this was meant for 3d....buy that one!

If you have a 3D tv, this is the type of bluray to get as it is demo worthy on the level of the 3D version of Avatar. The visual and sound effects are amazing. Story in the movie is simple with not much of a plot, but it's still good. It's basically about a tale of survival. Lots of solid extras too to learn more on how the movie was made. The extra are not fluff material and provide fairly in depth background on the movie. The Best Buy exclusive version of the 3D bluray comes with a $10 e-book certificate (basically a $10 Visa e-voucher) and an $8 coupon off any Fox blu-ray. The regular 3D bluray doesn't come with the $10 e-book certificate (not sure about the $8 coupon). The e-book certificate expires on 7/31/13, and the $8 coupon expires on 5/31/13.

In 4K, the film is entertaining to watch. Great production and storyline.

I have heard a lot of good reviews about this movie, and it has been on the back burner of movies to get for a while now. It went on sale for under 5 dollars, so I finally decided to pick it up. I mean 5 dollars, even if it is a horrible movie. I just could not beat 5 dollars for an new unopened movie. The movie has a great story to it, but it did get dry at parts. It was a long movie, but the ending is so worth the wait. Watching the cinematic struggle of a human to live, while being stranded at sea was definitely a task. It you are an an action wanting movie watcher. This movie is not for you...LOL. If you do not mind a looong drawn out story of a human's struggle to live while being faced with hours of mental entertainment. Then this movie is your piece of pie. I enjoy a good story, but was so ready for the ending of this movie. I kept checking the info on how much time was left. The ending was worth the wait. It really finished the story up nicely.
