Visually stunning, Story pretty lackluster, I found it hard to stay awake through.

As my title says, this is a very original film/storyline. There is a lot of CGI but it is very well done and you begin to feel sympathy for these computer created animals because they seem so real. The story, at its core, is much deeper than it appears on the surface. It is about love, survival at any cost, and life after tragedy. A beautiful and entertaining film.

Gorgeous 4k upgrade for a great film. It's one of the few films that actually matches the quality of the source material. Highly recommended!

It was at a good price but didnt like the fact that the digital copy was expired.

If you only buy one 4k blu-ray (and why would anyone do that?), it should be this one because of the absolutely breathtaking quality of the images in ocean scenes. I never get tired of watching this.

As with most movies you have to sit through a tedious introduction of characters and background information to get to the heart of the story But its worth every minute as the story really is a magical and can be perceived in either of two ways. Its worth viewing and the 3 D effects are very entertaining as well. You decide if its humans or animals that make up the story!

When I saw the 2d version of the movie I was impressed. I found myself repeating "Richard Parker" in my head with my best Indian accent. But seeing this in 3d was even more amazing. From the very beginning you were hooked, a very enthusiastic recommendation from this viewer.

Exciting movie about an Indian boy on his spiritual journey. He ends up in a lifeboat with a Bengal tiger after the ship he and his family are on wrecks. Even though the movie is over two hours long, it held my interest the whole time. Good spiritual theme and special effects.

I have seen this movie several times on BluRay, however, I purchased the 4K UHD version because the visuals in this movie are incredible. I have yet to watch the 4K UHD DVD but I am assuming it will look incredible. A must add to ones 4K collection.

I highly recommend the 3D version of Life of Pi! It's the definitive way to see the film. DTS-HD Master Audio 7.1 offers a fully immersive soundscape. This is a demo disc of a movie that also happens to be wonderful on it's own merits. Buy it!!

I have watched it twice. It is a good movie in DVD form, but a far better one when viewing in 3D. It is one of the best movie of 2012, and it is well worthy of viewing for several times. This movie makes you think about religion, life experience, family relationship. Two thumbs up.

This movie in 3D is a wonderful experience. So glad we have it in our collection. The special effects are fabulous and the scenes with the tiger just jump out at you. Many compare this movie to Avatar. Close, but not quite Avatar but, very entertaining. Seems to drag in spots.

This movie is exciting and keeps you interested. The special effects are awesome. We saw this movie at the theatre in 3D and when Best Buy had it on sale in 3D, we jumped at it. After watching it on our 3D television, we found it as exciting as the theatre experience.

I will refrain from reviewing the movie itself too much, just that it is one of my favorites. The quality of the disk is great, and the visuals and colors are fantastic. The only way it could be better would be to have the 4k HDR version.

If you've read the book (and you loved it) -- You will love the movie! This movie is very similar to the book and has great animation. The storyline is great, the characters are well developed and the film is shot beautifully. Definitely a classic; great for all ages!

I had seen the film in the theater but forgot how powerful it was. Great story and the visuals have aged well. There's also an extensive (roughly an hour) behind the scenes feature. Well worth adding to your collection of movies.

This film is incredible. First of all, it is visually stunning. Second, it takes the viewer through just about every emotion you can think of. My girlfriend is pretty picky about the movies we watch, but she loved this one! =)

I consider this to be an essential, worthy of sharing the same mental space as the "greats" such as Titanic, Jacob's Ladder and Passion of the Christ. Great movie. Believe in God, y'all. Life's bland otherwise.

Awesome movie. The first 5 minutes are wonderful in 3D. The humming bird that surrounds the Sloth and the Monitor Lizard that appears to be stepping forward out of the TV screen. Great story in all.

One of those movie that comes once in a life time. This is one of those movie. Everything is perfect. unfilmable novel brought to life by great ang lee. well deserved oscar. brilliant story. 3d was awesome. a must have on collection.
