A wonderful story with an excellent picture and matching sound from the 4K version. I only buy films I know I will watch more than a few dozen times. This is one of them. The acting is excellent. Highly recommended!\

I recently bought a 4k Tv and player set up and I've been buying movies that show off the format. This movie was absolutely necessary! After seeing it in 4K it was totally worth the purchase. Bonus: great movie as well!!

Ang Lee's excellent directing talent is on display in this movie that has great replay value. The previously unknown lead actor does a great job in a "Cast Away"-esque type of role and the visuals will stay with you long after the movie has finished.

This is a great movie. And watching in 3D provides the best experience. Since this movie was shot in 3D, it looks completely realistic. Also Best Buy had an offer running, and I got it cheaper than printed price. Great buy. Recommended.

To start with, it's visually stunning; no doubt about it. However, you have to watch it for the depth of the story, rather than the visuals. I watched it 3 times, and the message at the end is still perplexing to me.

It was a good movie caused alot of emotion during the story telling and alot more when you realize the story is played out for his life events..Must watch but pay close attention to every detail..

I enjoy watching this movie. After watching it, I feel there are a lot of deep meaning in the movie. It's worth to watch again and find the clue. This version you can get DVD and BluRay copy. Also couple couple digital copy. It is a good deal.

Got his movie combo pack on sale online at BB.com. Very glad we got it. My stepson and I weren't sure if we'd like the movie and ended up loving it, so I was very happy to find it so cheap and surprise him with a copy of it as a gift.

The Life of Pi is a wonderful movie for the whole family. It encompasses the beauty of several different religions and tells a story of heroism and courage. Many great lessons and morals are shared that anyone of any faith can learn from.

3D adds so much to this film. It still looks good in 2D however, as a 3D fan, this was great. I had my 13 year old daughter watch it with me and even this grumpy teen liked it. I mean an "It's OK" review is a rave from a teen, right?

Love the amazing photography of the birds and animals. The storyline is a beautiful story about life and how we deal with it. The role of religion in the movie is a wonderful pulling together of different beliefs.

I just purchased a 3-D SONY T.V. from BEST BUY so I have been purchasing 3-D movies (any 3-D movies) turns out - there really aren't that many out there so - I purchased this one to try out the new T.V. the movie wasn't so bad and the 3-D effects were great but no where near the AVATAR 3-D experience it claims to be

It's a great story, and the quality of the sound and video will really show off your entertainment system if you've invested in good equipment. The 4K picture is phenomenal. Can't go wrong with this purchase.

I don't recall seeing a movie with this plot line unless you consider Noah's Ark. It is well done and captivating. Enough for me to sit and watch it partly at BestBuy then purchase the Blu-ray to completely watch it at home. My son liked it enough with just snippets to want to buy and watch the entire movie.
