We watched the movie not having heard much about it. We watched the Oscars and had heard it was nominated and won several awards, so I picked it up on a whim. What a great movie! It deserved all the awards it received!

I have a Vizio p65 and had some trouble with the title menu when color subsampling was on (this setting is used for HDR). I had to turn it off while on the menu and back on during the movie. Otherwise, everything about the movie is great. It's a wonderful cinematic experience!

Life of Pi is a modern day masterpiece! Cinematically exceptional, this story begs you to ask the question what would I do to survive? How far would my mind go to protect me from myself psychologically?

Our family really enjoyed this movie. A lot of the scenes are beautifully rendered and really "pop" in 3D. Its been a while since I read the book, but I felt the movie did a good job capturing the story.

Heard great things about this movie and it didn’t disappoint. Not only was the story engaging but the visuals are spectacular, especially in 3D. Whole family enjoyed it and will definitely watch again.

Some of the scenes are just mind blowingly beautiful. The story is amazing and on it's own the movie is worth seeing, but in 4k, it just feels like the fantasy adventure it was meant to be.

Another movie I didn't get a chance to see in the theaters that I didn't think I would really enjoy but had heard a lot about. Quite an interesting story after all. Looks great in Blu-Ray 3d!

The movie is a real treat for visual effects and music. The story is very well written and captured. All in all a well worth movie. Last but not least I got the blu ray for a very good deal from Best buy.

This is an excellent bluray movie to show off your 3DTV as the aspect ratio of 1.85:1 completely fills up your screen. No horizontal black bars for you! Also the colors really pop!

Totally engrossing movie full of true entertaining art. Visually stunning and offers great acting and a unique plot. Good for children as well as adults. A very special film.

Amazing how story of one boy and a tiger can hold your attention. Recommend and must see all that went in to this movie in special features.

Pi has designed his own terrarium to keep from staring directly into the abyss. It's not denial. It's faith in something else: the transformative power of storytelling. The film is transcendent.

The 4k version of the movie looks fantastic, although that is less to do with the resolution, due to the fact that this wasn't shot in 4k, and far more to do with the HER offered.

I'm not an avid movie buff or critic, but I have been buying more movies since I bought my 4K TV. This was an enjoyable movie, though I thought the story was slow at times and I found my mind wandering. I'm glad i bought it, however, and plan to watch it again.

Got this movie to watch on our new 4K TV, the colors and scenery on this movie are amazing. The movie itself is excellent and it was a great choice to watch and showcase the 4K quality.

After seeing this movie in the theaters I was pleased to find it at Best Buy on Blu-ray for only 10.00; for that price it was worth it since this is simply a beautiful movie to watch more than once.

This movie was stunning in bluray when it first came out, and spectacular in 4K. Great movie all around. My 5 year old enjoyed it and it captured his imagination.

This is a really good movie with stunning visuals. The 3d sometimes feels darker than the blu-ray which might be due to the glasses. overall, a good buy for a visual spectacle.
