Lifeproof indeed! This little speaker is solid as a brick. Photos do not do it justice. While it's pretty lightweight, it feels extremely solid and can undoubtedly take a beating. Sound is very good for something its size. While it doesn't have a ton of bass it has an appropriate amount for its size and provides a warm, balanced sound for such a small speaker. The built in clip is awesome. There's a solid locking mechanism on the top that requires intentionally unlatching to remove the speaker; this will not unintentionally fall off your backpack while hiking or finding a spot on the beach. The buttons all have a nice, solid feel to them and everything is sealed. There's even a physical lock switch to keep it from coming on in a bag. I'm kind of a packaging geek and enjoyed opening the box. It's packaged like a premium item in a heavy box and is presented nicely inside. Also included is a Micro-USB charging cable but no power supply. Simply use a phone charger or your computer.

as a portable speaker this is adequate-both sporty and easily attaching carbinder. Sound was about average. It is supposed to be drop proof but i dont know if it would do well in sand and near water. returned it before i got to test that out.

As is the case with many Bluetooth speakers this has great sound for it's size. The sound is directional rather than an omnidirectional and basically is at it's best if it is in an upright position with the speaker facing the listener. This would be suitable for small spaces for background music. I do like the carabineer. Though I have yet to clip it to anything I think it would be great so be able to secure it if I am out on my boat so that testing the water resistance doesn't become mandatory. The other feature I really like is the lock out lever. Placing it in the locked position makes it so an inadvertent tap on the controls wont activate that particular function. On the down slice I would really like some illumination or deeper engraved symbols on the main controls. It is hard to see or feel the volume verses the track forward button in low light. Otherwise if you want to attach your speaker so when you are hiking or doing other activities it stays in place this is a good sounding choice.

I was looking for an outdoor speaker with bluetooth capability. This was advertised as water, dirt, snow and drop proof. Luckily I have seen this in action. I did like the hook (carabiner) which saves me the trouble of attaching it to me (i.e. bike, hike or kayak). Im not sure about the whole water proof thing as I have yet to submerge this device, Claims to be 1meter (3.3 feet if you have trouble visualizing) submersible proof for 1/2 hr. Battery life was impressive. Played this all night and hold the charge well. Its very easily paired even if it didn’t come with those step by step guide sheet. It also has this lock feature - to avoid accidental button being pushed. I was a little disappointed with how loud it didn’t get. For an outdoor speaker it could have been louder.. All in all its a functional portable and personal wireless speaker.

Ok. Sound is ok. Charge is ok. Time will tell if the battery life holds up and if the speaker can handle wet winters.

The speaker sounded ok. Found it cheaper and then found another one cheaper that sounded better.

If you are looking to take your tunes out for a hike, to the beach/pool, or even just your shower then this speaker is your best option. It is really durable and has survived being submerged in water, dropped from 10ft multiple times, and covered in mud. The material doesn't feel all that durable but you'd be very surprised to find out that it's built like a tank. It is also really small so it's very lightweight and portable. It even has a latch device that can attach to your backpack or your belt buckle. It is really convenient and I use it all the time. The sound quality of this device is average at best. It is basically all treble and hardly any bass so if you want bass this is not the speaker for you. This tiny device gets really loud though without causing irritating distortion. The buttons are a little rough to press but they do what they're designed to do. Powering on the speaker is not as simple as pressing the power button however and that is a little annoying. You have to make sure to to switch the lock setting key to unlock before powering on and then lock it when it's powered on if you don't want to accidentally power it off. Overall, it's great for hikers and very active people. If you want a speaker because it'll sound amazing then this is not for you. If you want a small speaker to carry around on your adventures then this speaker is great and has a 16 hour battery life and can connect to up to 8 devices which is amazing! I would definitely buy another one as a gift to my adventure buddies.
