We returned this because it didn't seem to be very protective on the front!

does it's job but you can't plug an aux cord in and it won't come off

iPod case This Life proof iPod case never worked from the beginning. Both of my daughters got One for their iPod. The button on top that shuts the iPod on and off does not work on both of them. It wouldn't get stuck turn your iPod on run the battery out. We tried taking it out and putting them back in tried showing to other people. I took it back about 2 to 3 weeks later because we live out of town. He told me there was nothing they could do to help me and I'd have to deal with the company themselves. Was treated poorly at the store. After I just spent over $500 on other products they were unable to help me there. Very do satisfied customer. Then the guy tells me that they had tons of issues with this product. But again did nothing to help me. He would not even put it in his hand and said that he couldn't even touch it.

My grandson purchased this item to use with his ipod in a pool. Despite using extra protection with a plastic bag, water did enter under this protective shield. We were told by a salesperson to "test" the cover first, but found no where in instructions how to do this. He was very disappointed and we returned the item.

Purchased the LifeProof case to use when I go on vacation in February, 2015.

Very difficult to install properly but overall great product

Protects ipod, however it is bulky and the screen and home button are not as easily responsive as they should be.

I have used Lifeproof products on all of my devices and have been happy with how they protect my iPhone's or iPod's. Of course they work good for the way I use cases which is dropping them on the ground accidentally or getting rain/snow on them. I guess I would not recommend intentionally putting you device with any case under water. With my use of the case for the iPod Touch 5th/6th Generation, I have been happy with protection from drops or minimal moisture from weather on the case. For protection from simple usage, I find this case to work great. Unfortunately there are some major design flaws. The main on is the fact that once the screen protector in on the iPod, you can not get the iPod out (to put on a dock, use third party cables, ect.). Once ithe iPod is in the case, its there to stay. Often you can peel of the protector to get it out, but it may not be as waterproof, or the glue used to hold it to the hard plastic case will not be as effective which may force you to buy more protectors from their website or a new case in general. Just beware of that. Another flaw is that the openings to the headphone jack and charging ports seem flimsy and prone to ripping, damage or being partially opened in an area. I have not had an issue with this yet, but I feel as though they are not as strong as what Lifeproof uses for the iPhone cases. Overall I feel this case is good for simple protection, but definitely have some rather simple design flaws. In a sense I wish it would be more like the design of a Lifeproof case for an iPhone. I feel that a 3/5 rating is acceptable due to these flaws and as far as recommendation, it depends on the person.

The button on the case that is supposed to operate the sleep/wake button on the iPod touch was unforgiving and would not move at all. Thought maybe it would change with a few attempts, but that just didn't happen. I am returning this case tomorrow.

The case was too tight against the power button and would randomly cycle the power on the device.

the case was nice empty, but when ipod was installed it kept activating the device so i returned it..

I ordered a life proof case for an iPod 5 and I thought it was the snap on one that u have to snap together and I hate this case so I don't use it and I want to send it back

Protects very well, but is too tight for my iPod 6. It didn't turned off, so I had to take it out of the case.

case top button does not reach iPOD Sleep button, very expensive pcs of plastic. Not worth the money.

However, this case does not allow for easy charging without buying an adapter. I wouldn't buy it again.

The case seems sturdy. The adhesive for the "sticker" on the front is very strong. The "sticker" is very hard to center. The big issue was with the sound from the auxiliary cable adapter. There was either no sound, crackling mono sound, or muted mono sound. Never clear and never stereo. The case stayed on less than a day and now needs to be returned or replaced.
