It works great and definitely kid-proof, so far. My son used to peel off the other case and the iPad would be left unprotected. With this case the only thing he is able to somehow "open" is the charging port cover but at least the rest of the iPad is protected. Just hope he doesn't get any bright ideas with water while the charging port cover is open.
