The fit is excellent and it really protects the phone as advertised. The case has been on for over a year. Even with the case on, the sound is good. The clip that covers the charging port is very, very tight. Because of the thickness of the case, it can be difficult to remove the charging fitting. Biggest drawback: I have yet to find a headphone jack that is skinny enough to fit into the port. So, if you want to use the headphone jack, you must remove the case. That kind of defeats the practicality of the case.

Brought this to go to the water park. Water got into the case. No a happy camper.

I've had this for a few days. It seems to be very durable and protects the phone well. In general, I don't like cases, but the iPhone 5c is so slippery, I dropped it 5 times in the first 2 weeks I owned it. Overall it's a decent case, but a couple of things annoy me. First, the cover for the headphone jack digs into my finger when I am typing on my phone and holding it with both pinky fingers on the bottom. Second, the cover for the charger is very difficult to open, I feel like I'm going to break it. Third, the side ringer button goes the opposite direction with this case on (for silent, I have to press up, not down like normal). Lastly, the extra padding for the home key and front camera/speaker make pressing the space bar and top of screen more difficult (lotsoftext messages looklike this). I'm sure I'll get used to these over time, but these are just my initial observations. One thing to consider is that the case severely muffles sounds. So you have to turn the ringer up higher than normal to hear calls and it's hard to hear podcasts/music. I already planned to buy bluetooth speakers, but it's something to keep in mine for those who may use their phone's speakers often.

My husband has his second Life Proof case for his iPhone 5c. It provides great protection for him, as he is a rancher/farmer. Very durable and lasts a long time.

It works well to protect the phone from water and damage. It looks great too. Easy to install.

I bought the Life Proof FRE case for the Iphone 5C. Believe me you will not be disappointed with this purchase.. The installation was so easy... The case just snaps together... Just note: to take off any screen protector shield on your phone prior to installation in the case... This case has its own screen protector shield... The phone looks, and feels great in Life Proof case and is well protected. The volume control, and the shut off buttons work well... The mute button doesn't work that good, but can be over looked because of the protection you get from this case.. I love this Life Proof Case.....

I had read a lot of reviews and had pretty much accepted I was going to have to live with at least one major flaw, regardless the sleek waterproof design drew me in because my work brings me near water quite frequently. I am happy to say that after a water test, a few days of normal operation and several calls (both on and off speakerphone) I am extremely happy with the way my case has performed, no bubbling, no muffled sounds and while sound does vibrate out the back of the case, I don't find that this diminishes sound quality by any noticeable measure. I also love the look of it.

I bought my Lifeproof case as soon as I got a gift card to Best Buy. I love it! It has survived car crashes and being submerged into water a few times as well. I will definitely buy a Lifeproof case for my future phone as well.

This case definitely protects the phone. I've dropped it in water, snow, and thrown it many many times. Phone works great!

My brother-in-law has the iPhone 5c that's Blue. Sure, it's not all that great looking and it doesn't show off the color much, but it's the case that makes it worth it. Lifeproof makes great cases!

I bought this case for my son's iPhone 5C. He had a Lifeproof case for his iPhone 4S and loved that too. He's on a swim team and spends alot of time around water and this case is a must. This case is clear in the back to allow the color chosen to show through. The case fits on the phone perfectly. I would recommend this product!

As far as protection it is great; price is fair. It is uncomfortable to keep opening the slot to charge the phone and the screen protector makes it difficult to text; sometimes it has "bubbles" and you can see streaks underneath it.

I decided to take a chance and buy this bad boy and see what happens. Overall, I enjoy the case. Nice and slim and it covers 100% of the screen unlike the Otterbox case I had. Some folks had mentioned muted and sounds and voices. I haven't had any issues hearing sounds or voices during calls. Nobody has reported any of those issues to me either. I do have a few gripes, however. The opening for the charge port is pretty small, so more than likely if you are using a NON-Apple lighting cable, it's probably not going to fit. I was using a Rocketfish cable for months and it doesn't really work anymore. You can jam it in but I'm sure that's not wise. And the headphone port is blocked up as well. If you attach headphones, be sure not to loose the plug that covers the headphone slot up.

This case has held up great against everything except one year olds! My friends one year old managed to put his teeth under the rubber grip at the top of the phone by the front facing camera. Also when I first got the case I didn't understand how the flap to get to the charge port so now that's messed up.. But other than my own mistakes I love this case!

My husband and I did our research before we each purchased the Lifeproof fre. We went with the fre instead of the nuud because we wanted the screen protector as well. Our iphone5c fits perfectly inside of the case and the touchscreen works flawlessly. My husband is a automotive service technician and uses his phone to listen to music and is touching the case with oily, grimey hands all day long; it is definitely working at sealing out dirt, dust and grime! I am a stay at home mom with three little peanuts; mine has withstood the bath tub (on accident), taking photos underwater at the swimming pool and unfortuantely an unaccountable number of drops! We could not be more happy with this fully functional case!

I love how durable the case was. It wasn't too bulky or big, it was actually comfortable. I loved it, but then it started causing my screen to act erratically. I believe this is due to the bubbles in the built in screen. Will keep the case for when I go on vacation, but it isn't great for every day use. It also muffles the sound very badly.

Heading says it all. I build water features for a living and have dropped my phone in water MANY times and this case has always saved the phone but have had a few cracked screens from drops. No case is perfect so you have to choose between water damage or shock absorption.

I got this case four moths ago and i have had nothing but problems the screen protector is falling out and i had to superglue the back cause the o ring came out

My wife and I purchased the Lifeproof fre case the same day We purchased the iPhone 5c. We did the water test by submerging in a bowl full of water. After 30 minutes dried both off and used it for a week. The screen protector was so bubbly we could barley use our new phone. We brought it back to Best Buy with no questions asked. Even tried another fre case and it did the same thing even with out the water test. The associate let us try the nuud in the store and we love it! I recommend spending the extra $10 to get the nuud.
