Exactly One Year Case Degrades

The switch that you turn the volume up and down has worn off. The foam around the plastic has degraded and worn off. The water seal foam inside the charger port has fallen off without notice. Both the screen protector and back of the unit is scratched up badly. I just had to buy a new case to replace it. Bought the same only bc i am giving my phone to my daughter and I bought a new phone for myself. It is excellent from protecting my phone from drops. I can’t tell you how many times I have dropped it. But, I would expect the quality for the amount I paid to stand up better. But, on the positive note my phone inside is not damaged. But, then I was scared to test the water dunking test later after doing the original test on my case when I first got it. Oh, and the elastic band that helps seal it lost its elasticity too. That was when we had to open it a few weeks ago to put a new SIM card in it. It would not go back into its place so I had to take it out.

I tried to return it to LifeProof and they said since I didn't buy it directly from them, they would not take it. Best Buy would not take it back because it had been over 15 days (was less than 30). Don't buy this case unless you want to sound like you are under water.
