Of course, a slight degradation of sound can be expected when a speaker is covered in a case, but this impact should be minimal. Typically, the quickest and most effective way to alleviate any audio issues with your LifeProof case will be to remove your device, blow some air through the speaker membrane on the case, and then re-install your phone with the bottom going in first. Try and pay special attention to make sure the speakers on your phone are lining up correctly with the vents on the case. This will allow for a clear path of sound. But you cannot make phone calls with the case on. The person on the other end cannot understand a word I was saying. If the design helps make phone calls possible this will be an amazing product.

Plastic is a little slippery/smooth compared to pelican of similar style. But after 4 months of use, both my wife and I have experienced the same issue. The plastic that opens up for charging has started tearing and the plastic screen has started to lift off the frame of the phone case. Sending back this week to Lifeproof. Just ordered some Peli Marine cases instead. Cons: These cases distort the audio and make it a pain to watch video and actually hear it. You also need a special adapter to fit some headphones into the jack. Screen cover easily gets marred and scratched. I really wanted to love this case, but i guess it wasnt meant to be. :(

However, I noticed that since they have changed the product to accomodate the finger touch system that the quality has deminished. I am careful with my phone but one drop and I have a crack in my phone. Dropproof no more! And the waterproof promise, with the old versions, I used to be able to take my phone to the beach and swim with it. This has not been the case with the newer versions. Disappointed!

I did the water test when I first got my case, it work, no water. Fastforward to this past Sunday, I was at the pool and my phone feel in the water...during the 30 seconds it took for my husband to retrieve my phone I was thinking to myself "I didn't do the test, maybe a little water might have gotten in". NOPE, the phone and case were completely wet! A $850 dollar phone that I'd only had exactly 1 year was destroyed. I'm sooo disappointed because I expected it to work! I suspect the problem was with the flap over the charging mechanism...because I never take my phone out of my case, I never use the ear phones...everything else seems to have been air tight except for maybe that piece that I open and close everyday to charge the phone. I even checked out the reviews...very sad and disappointed.

Every single person I talk to complains they cannot hear me. They all say I am muffled. I've had other life proof cases with other phones and never had a problem. Life proof needs to make some serious adjustments to make it work on the iPhone 6 Plus.
