I owned my case for less than two months until it proved useless. It is advertised to be able to withstand water for up to an hour to depths of six feet. After accidentally being submerged in less than a foot of water for about 2 minutes, my phone was completely ruined. Everything including the headphone jack and charging port had been properly sealed. The culprit? The glue holding a small sticker to cover the home button had worn away and that is where the water had gotten in. Pretty cheap construction for such an expensive phone case. The warranty offers to replace the case (for which you still have to pay shipping & handling), but it does nothing to cover the $300 cost of replacing my phone. And even then, I have zero confidence the replacement will be effective at all either. Don't even bother with this product.

I love the case and it worked great but it's not for everyday use the waterproofing went bad within a week

We purchased this case for my sons iPhone. He took it into water after testing the case. It failed. The iPhone got wet and was ruined. What is the point in buying a case such as this if it offers no protection. The company will send us a new case, for a phone that does not work. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY. Buy a zip lock bag or two and use them to protect your phone, it works and is much cheaper. The case is called life proof, well it is not. We will have to spend hound reds of dollars to buy a new phone. Not worth the money. Again DO NOT BUT IT.

My replacement is now leaking. I only got a few month out of this case. I do not abuse my phone. If you count on this to protect your phone from water, test it regularly. Be prepared to shell out another 5$ in shipping every few months. I've decided I'm tired of it and will buy a dry case from Walmart with my 5$.The customer service agents for LifeProof are not helpful. They count on customers not following though with the Warranty process. As I am. I can't afford to risk my phone is an expensive case that consistently fails.

I purchased this case for a new iPhone 6S Plus. It was recommended by Verizon when we got the phone. My husband is a handyman and this new phone will encounter paint drops, dust, dirt, and even an occasional swim in a toilet, so we want it to be protected. The first thing I did was the leak test, as Lifeproof recommended. Within 3 minutes of being under water, the case was half full of water. It's going back to Best Buy -- and I don't know what to try next, but I'm leary of Lifeproof :-( I need something to protect this expensive phone!

Bought this case specifically so I could use it on my vacation to Mexico. Watched the video from the website on how to use, followed all the instructions. Used it underwater and water leaked in and RUINED my iPhone, company only replaces the CASE! Which, why would I want a new case? They claim its waterproof and its NOT. Don't make my mistake! I have to buy a new iPhone!

I water tested for 2 hours in pan of water with no leak. I bought for specific pu pose of using on vacation my iPhone 6s Plus. It failed within two hours of light use at hotel pool. Brought in for repair but was too damaged to salvage. WARRANTY IS ESSENTIALLY worthless since only covers defective case. So they replace $$80 case. You're still screwed with $700 paperweight.

The case aux plug has a screw cap that is nearly impossible to remove. To plug in aux cord or head phones you must have the little extension cord that came with it.... which broke in 2 days. I don't see that little piece available separately. Such a waste of money. I need to buy a new case already.

The drop or two seems to have entered my ear peice because my cameras had water I'm Them and the whole top of my iPhone seems to be malfunctioning . I'm highly disappointed , will be going to Best Buy for a refund because now I need to come up with close to $200 for a replacement phone :/
