I put that in quotes because this is as a family our 8th life proof case since the introduction of the iPhone 6/6plus. They've each had an issue with the charge port cover. I've never really felt comfortable with exposing the phones to water. The case does work great without a phone in it though.

Typically, the quickest and most effective way to alleviate any audio issues with your LifeProof case will be to remove your device, blow some air through the speaker and microphone membranes on the case, and then re-install your phone with the bottom going in first.
