Protects the phone and doesn't affect touch abilities with the screen!

Purchased this case for my daughter's iPhone 5. The case seemed sturdy as advertised and protected the phone very well. The problem is that the phone is useless for calls while it is in the case. The waterproofing mechanism that covers the microphone doesn't work properly. I have seen several online posts by other reporting the same problem. "Blowing into the phone" as recommended does not work. Save your money and select a different case.

I dropped my phone from waist level and the screen broke. Lifeproof claims the phone is impact proof, but that is not the case. Lifeproof will not pay for any damage to a phone so their guarantee means nothing. I will buy an Otterbox next time.

the whole reason i got the 5s is for the finger print it will only unlock 1/5 times with the case on but everytime with out this case. when texting or typing in general the protective screen will cause multiple spelling errors and you have to slow down and type like a new bee just to make sure you're typing everything correctly

I've had the lifeproof case for around 2 months, and it has failed miserably. I actively use my phone for business and personal use, and I considered the lifeproof case as I work both indoors and outdoors for car sales. I have never been so disappointed in a cell phone case. The 1st item to fail was the button turning on and off the ringtone. The rubber material separated making it nearly impossible to turn your ringtone to mute. Next I dropped the phone off my desk, maybe 3 feet off the ground, and the corner plastic of the front cover separated exposing the interior all along the top left edge midway down the left side. I looked to see if it could be popped back together, but the glue had separated, and now the case is a lost cause. Going to try and see if they will honor some sort of warranty on it, but was really hoping I had purchased a quality product to begin with. Skip this one and try something else

Two months after getting my lifeproof case I had it in a resort pool taking photos of my kids when I noticed moisture on the inside of the case. I popped it out, dried it, and got it into rice within an hour. To no avail, the phone is dead. I contacted Lifeproof and they offered to send me a new case but said they aren't responsible for anything else. A new case won't do me much good as I no longer have a working phone to put in it, and why would I trust them again. They claim to stand behind their product, but don't back it when it fails to serve the purpose it was designed for. Buyer Beware!!

I have sent three cases back to Lifeproof for warranty exchanges. This product is good when it works, however the durability isn't that great. It takes sometime 7-10 days to receive a replacement case if yours get damaged.

Used this over 2 week period, alternating iphone 5s alone and 5s with case. With case fingerprint worked 50% of time, and often requiring 3-5 attempts. Waterproof/plastic over fingerprint didn't work for me so now using otter box defender.
